## Kanji Study Description
Most kanji apps show you a character and its readings and expect you to memorize them cold. Kanji Study takes a different approach: you learn kanji through the vocabulary words they appear in.
By studying real JLPT words, over 5,000 of them across N5 to N1, you absorb kanji readings naturally, one word at a time, the way they actually appear in Japanese.

### ****- "Its THE app for learning kanji, but …"
This is probably the best app for learning kanji but (1) When you get back from not studying in a while you have to review sooo much kanji. It can take several hours to get through all the review kanji (believe me I’ve done it). And if you leave the app and come back you risk loosing all your progress, because the app refreshes. There should be a limit to the review kanji, and a way to know how much kanji there is to review. (2) Also if the app was more gamified the experience would be a lot more enjoyable.

It’s a great app and I enjoy using it for practicing handwriting Kanji but sometimes the kanji will not accept my writing input no matter what I try. Particularly the radical on the left side of 週 is so hard to get the app to accept your input that I’ve just stopped using the app several times out of frustration. Otherwise the lessons are bite sized and grouped in a nice way.

I’ve been using this app, along with Learn Japanese! to refresh my Japanese after many years of neglect.

The review mode seems to be really good at picking up where I’m having trouble, and drilling me on those. I wish there were groupings of kanji that mapped to RTK lessons.

I’d like to see versions of these apps available for other languages (esp. Hebrew, Arabic).

It’s a really good app for learning kanji. It really helped alot especially with the review they provide. The only problem for me is that it crashes everytime I open it after reinstalling the app. Please fix it.

Outstanding for learning and writing kanji as well as vocabulary words. There is a pay wall but it’s justified as the app is an all in 1 for your kanji needs.

Side note, it will not open anymore. I use an Ipad and everything I launch the app, it just brings me to my home screen after a second. Any fixes?

I love the interface, and this makes kanji learning so much easier. I love how similar looking kanji are grouped together to help you differentiate them. I just wish there were grammar lessons too like there is for the hiragana learning app because I know it would be really helpful to put this learned kanji into practice!

### ****- "really good tool for memorizing kanji and words!"
i love using this app because i find when i learn things they stay in my memory for longer than using other tools, and i like being able to choose which lessons to learn without following a necessary order. my only problem is how they’re organized by n5, n4, etc. a lot of words that show up in other resources as n5 words and kanji are in the n4 section of this app. i think it would be better to sort them by grade level, because the jlpt tests haven’t put out official kanji lists for years so its kind of just guesswork at this point too

### ***** "Beautiful, functional and slightly buggy"
I tried a few kanji apps, but this one really stood out. Simple and attractive, the UI doesn’t get in the way. That’s harder to do than it looks. The JLPT based organization is great, as is the review system. 

The only problem is that the kanji writing part is buggy. Sometimes it’s too sloppy (day and moon radicals are basically interchangeable) but it often rejects strokes for no obvious reason. And maybe one writing interaction in a hundred, the app locks up as soon as the character is complete - it’s only recoverable by killing the app. 

Still, I enjoy studying with it and would rather do a few lessons than play some casual game. Definitely worth the small price.

### ***** "Perfect for learning"
The app helps you learn kanji by writing it over and over, there’s also a button where you can view all of the kanji, click on one and practice writing over and over. It teaches Onyomi and Kunyomi as well as giving the meanings to each kanji like ‘上’ means ‘over,above.’ By far the best app I tried for kanji, the other ones offer a month for learning (this ones permanent) or don’t teach nearly as much kanji, the price is really worth it (1700+ kanji and over 1000 lessons) teaches you how to put kanji together to form new words (as said before, Onyomi.) The other app that LLC made taught the kana and I still remember it, there way of teaching and formatting is amazing although simplistic and how they teach gets ingrained in memory.

Kanji is a good app.
It helps me retain a lot more information and has improved my kanji recognition skills.

Only downside: please oh please fix some definitions that don’t use the correct kanji based on the shown definition.

Example; 留める should be ´to detain’ ... not ´to stop’.

明ける ´s definition should not simply be ´to open’ ....that’s another kanji for that specific meaning.
