For all the slick millennial marketing mumbo jumbo, the actual underlying product is a piece of garbage. I filed a claim on 12/02/2024, they said they were reviewing it on 12/18/2024, and it is now 12/28/2024. Nearly an entire month to review a pet insurance claim? Filing the claim was an onerous process, regurgitating information already on the invoice. With Healthy Paws, all I had to do was submit the invoice, and they figured it out.

Joined Lemonade due to cheap price, few days ago, was hicieron of theft from vehicle. Filed claim, but the claim process was so horrendous, I felt like I was literally being interrogated, well, I was, as if they were trying to find an inconsistency or a flaw and not pay out. In light of all this insurance things going on, I decided to cancel and just pay a higher premium for an insurance that hopefully values me, I’ve heard good reviews about Lemonade, but to me, I didn’t feel comfortable at all. I just thought about a future instance where my home is unlivable, I’d thought of how much interrogation I’d go through. I’d for 3K they went all out, imagine if my home is unlivable and a claim for over 5K!? Nah, not worth it imo

Originally had Metromile car insurance but it was bought out / switched to Lemonade. Absolutely terrible car insurance! 

Whether it is coverage (which jumped ridiculously high/tripled even tho there were no claims or changes) or roadside assistance (locked out of car, took 3 hours to get someone sent out even tho baby was locked in car, police ended up helping), I cannot recommend them at all. I price compared with other car insurance companies and got similar rates to when I was on Metromile. Lemonade price jumped from $120/mo to $410/mo! Cancelling my policy with them. Oh and they don’t allow you to schedule a cancellation or get prorated if a policy starts and you cancel a few days later. You have to cancel the exact day before

Update: Information worked out. Thank you @Maya. You made this work out. Below is just a history of the issue I underwent. Otherwise, thank you.

They refuse to update my pet’s information based on the vet’s examination. They think the vet is wrong. The outdated information was put in originally by me. I am not a doctor, vet, or biologist of any sort. Because I am not a doctor, vet, or biologist of any sort, the information I put in did not match the proper medical tests. Yet Lemonade holds me as having more expertise then an actual vet who did actual medical tests. The vet is an expert. I am not. The vet knows more than me. Lemonade is very deceitful and hurtful.

The aforementioned lady in my review title as a customer service agent that reached out to me, gaslighting me after my one star review. She stated she misunderstood why I was upset for paying for a policy that doesn’t cover accidental damage to the things inside of my home. I didn’t know that I need to live in a high crime area to get things covered because when I added it flood damage when I added it on the policy part, it says ensure your electronics and choose them out. I didn’t say the accident will be covered. I didn’t know I had to be a poor black person like you want me to be Angelica to get paid. Sorry I live in a decent area and accidents happen. Found a company that’s covers accidentally damage to the things in your home.

It’s cheap and easy. That’s what’s good. But I made a policy for my cat. I had to take him to the emergency vet recently. Tried to file a claim several times; it kept freezing up and wouldn’t let me file it. Tried calling but the first 3 time(on separate days, mind you), they couldn’t do anything because their “system is updating.” So after a week of trying to contact them over and over, I finally got through, only one o be told they couldn’t file the claim since my policy wouldn’t allow it. So now I’m out 500.

This app is terrible!!! Whenever I want to access a policy, I’m automatically brought to the sign up screen for pet insurance. I’ve already completed the sign up for that. The whole functionality of the app needs to be redesigned since I can never quickly access my policy information whenever I need to. It always takes several log ins to eventually get my info. I hate it.
