## Lenormand! Description
Discover why Tarot readers everywhere are branching out to Lenormand! Here you will find two versions of the Dondorf Lenormand deck: the first printing from 1873, as well as a printing from the second set of engraving plates in 1878.

The images in Lenormand are simpler, more straightforward, and easier to interpret than Tarot. In Lenormand, cards take shades of meaning from the neighboring cards. A row of Lenormand cards can be read like a sentence. Learn card meanings while playing with the app!

Named for a famous card reader from the time of the French Revolution, Mademoiselle Marie Anne Lenormand read cards for many historical figures. These 36 images came to be called the Petit Lenormand cards after Mademoiselle Lenormand had died.

The Dondorf Lenormand is a classic historical deck. Printed in Germany, the deck was sold for sixty years and used in every country in Europe. This definitive deck is now available in pixels, re-tooled for the 21st Century by The Fool’s Dog.

In all honesty, it’s a beautiful app. I bought it initially to learn and practice reading; like sample readings. ~ But, the explanations are a tad bit dry, and to say the least, at least for me, I don’t rely on the accuracy of an app reading in relation to a physical reading that is done in person; even then, sometimes even physical readings pick up on your thoughts, then what they want to say. I feel though despite of it all, there are better explanations of these cards elsewhere.

Clean design and layout. Very easy to use as with all of Fool’s Dog apps. It is a great tool if you are starting out or want to see how Lenormand card’s are read but the inquisitive mind will have to do their own research to go gain a deeper understanding of this style of cartomancy.

I used it daily as it allows a quick reading when there's no time to sit with the cards. But one day it decided to quit instead of goingbto my saved readings. Even after erasing app and stored memory, and downloading it several times, access to past readings is not available. It simply quits. Not happy.

I've been using the Lenormand since 2009. I've tried a couple of apps that came out a few years before this one but this one works best. Take screen size and interface into account. Journal is helpful note my questions. I don't use the built in meanings. Works well on iPhone and iPad. Recommended.

I've only just discovered the three "Lenormand" decks made by this company, and like their artwork and simple directness.  Unfortunately, in this particular Lenormand deck, to get both the traditional and modern meanings, you have to stumble upon the menu, and then go through two levels of menu choices.....and then pick one or the other.

They don't even tell you that the deck, as downloaded, doesn't contain both meanings on the meanings page.  They don't even say that you have to pick, unless you go many pages deep in the instruction manual, and even there it isn't clear because it isn't specific to this particular deck.

In fact, if you read the instruction manual, you'll be looking for a bar along the bottom with the suits, etc., that doesn't exist in this app, because this is "Lenormand" rather than "Rider."

So how did I find out that there were separate meanings,  not shown on the "Meanings" page for each card?  I accidentally brushed the top right corner, and discovered the choice (two layers deep).

This is advertised as an "iPad app" and the descriptions are short.  There is all kinds of white space in the "Meanings" area.  They could certainly have put both meanings on one card, and still not even used up a quarter of the screen space available to them.  Sheesh.
