## Lessons in Herstory Description
Lessons in Herstory uses AR to bring to life forgotten stories of women, right on the pages of your history textbook. Scan any portrait of a man in your textbook and unlock a related story about an important woman.

Currently, Lessons In Herstory works with “A History of US: Liberty for All? 1820-1860, Book Five, 2005”. The app will soon expand to work with more textbooks. But don’t worry if you don’t have a textbook, you can still use the app with the photos available on www.lessonsinherstory.com

By putting a new lens on history, this app has the power to inspire the next generation through stories of powerful women.

## Lessons in Herstory Reviews in United States

### *---- "For white and black people only"
No Asian representation. Basically just reinforces that stereotype that white and black women are the ones making change for female empowerment and freedom.
-- sweatyy palms, 2022-02-03

### ****- "On the page of okie Ito"
Why it said “he” instead of“she”？
-- kuju6, 2021-03-25

### ***** "LOVE this"
This app is amazing and I am so glad to have found it because o had no idea how little we learn about historical women in school and this is also great because I love reading about women throughout history but a lot of the women in this app I have never heard of so it’s really great they these incredible people are getting even a little recognition 😄😄😄
-- graciegumdrops23, 2021-03-07

### ****- "Fun quick reference"
I like reading quick references about Herstory. I would love to see Ruth Bader Ginsburg added and Jane Addams who is the mother of social work and won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1931.
-- Twodogjay, 2021-02-19

### ***** "10/10"
I LOVE THIS APP SO MUCH!! Ok but being for real, two people who I would love to see added: Ruth bader Ginsberg and Angelina grimke.
-- lost writer?????, 2021-02-18

### ***** "Great Idea"
This app seems really cool! I love this idea and the information shared!!

I’m also seriously missing Tracey Africa Norman, Andrea Jenkins, Miss Major, and Lavern Cox. Hopefully there will be updates shortly!
-- freshencounter, 2021-02-01

### *---- "Sexist"
This app is too sexist - include everyone
-- .The Godfather., 2020-08-26

### ****- "Amazing but glitchy"
I try to scroll down on the list of women but it just scrolls back up a little bit. And when I zoom in on the story because it is tiny, it moves where I don’t want it. If this could be fixed, I would be happy.
-- annonymous playet, 2020-06-26

### ****- "One problem"
I love this app so very much it tells stories about wonderful women! But there are not enough women! I can think of Susan B Anthony, Rosa Parks, Amelia Earhart, and Elizabeth Cady Stanton. These are very important people! These people started a movement for women and African Americans!
-- ROSEGOLDGIRLY, 2020-06-16

### **--- "Big fixes needed"
I have an iPhone 11 max pro that has the most up to date version of iOS and the app keeps crashing anytime I try to “share” a story. Please fix!!
