"This application is a universal Wi-Fi remote control launcher that allows a user to control network-connectable devices released since 2012.  If both a smart phone and a LG device are connected to the same router, you can use your phone as a traditional remote control after a simple connection process. 

This application automatically searches all connectable devices in your home.
If selecting a connectable device, you can download a remote control application for the device.

Well after 3 years of incompatible apps, LG have now released a working version. I’d all but given up on being able to control my ‘Smart’ LG 9.1 AV Receiver. I’d only recently reconnected it to the WiFi and by chance download this app and to my surprise it finally works again! 3 Stars for taking years to offer what you sold as a connected device with remote app, which you didn’t support until very recently.

Struggled with LG TVs and Blue Ray DVD Player for years now. LG told me after just 2 years the OS on my TV was not being developed/updated anymore and is obsolete!! Only 2 years old and a premium price. I find it cheaper and easier to buy a google chrome cast or similar and convert any HDMI TV to a smart TV. To confirm; Blue Ray Player currently does not work with any LG AV Remote on iOS App Store and TV is obsolete and is hit and miss with the old style out of date LG TV Remote!! Rubbish LG

Update review Oct 2018. They updated it. Excellent. Works sometimes. Pot luck. Not at all on IOS 11 now. We getting new TV and sound system for Xmas and 2 for new log cabins. Guess what brand we will NOT be getting. That’s right LG. Pointless making a smart tv when apps are rubbish.

Works a charm. I usually use one remote programmed to all 4 of my devices but this saves flicking between the modes. I intend to upgrade my TV soon and will no doubt download the TV version of the app also. I dropped a star because there seems to be no eject button. Other than that it's a great little app!

private sound, is out of sync and clips the sound, it also cuts out, whenever the phone goes to sleep so you need to keep clicking on it through a movie.
