Remote home button stopped working.

Don’t ask me how a software button stops functioning- all other actions work fine still. Shame the Home button is key to the tv functionality. (Already reinstalled the app, only button not working is home button, already did a support request and follow up via app and no response)

Buggy poorly designed app

ThinQ has a lot of promise but frankly is executed poorly. Connections to your network are flaky, things don’t work as they should, and it’s constantly frustrating. You can’t rename rooms and there’s no such room as a hallway in the robot vacuum cleaner capability. The robot also struggles to get under beds, My dryer and dishwasher constantly disconnect from the Wi-Fi network. Basic functionality like remote stop start isn’t available. Your left with basically simply monitoring the progress of a job you programmed on the washer or dryer or dishwasher. Finally be warned that LG Support is next to us useless. And the company has a very non-customer focused attitude. As you can see, I’ve invested heavily in LG technology and I wish I hadn’t I could do better with something else and a company that cared about improving its products

Why do you offer the ability to use a Google account to login to the app but then ask me for a password, my name and my date of birth? The only thing I can think of is you are selling our data. It’s none of your business. Be better.

Waste of time and effort

Once set up had to go through the process of email, passwords ect Put device washing machine on Wi-Fi asked for password then didn’t recognize password. Why you need a password to access a washing machine beats me. Restarted didn’t work . Had to get service person out fix 3 year old washing machine only has 2 year warranty soo of course Murphies law an item will break down just after warranty period period. Hey LG maybe put 5 year warranty on electronic parts Probably good if it did work.Rant over

Terrible network connection

Worked fine with washing machine. Robot Vacuum never stays connected. So I lose room settings and can’t control or set which rooms to clean. Support provided by LG was slow and failed to provide good advice.

Love the convenience….but

I love the idea of this app. I’ve installed it for my LG smart TV after the dog ate two remotes….two issues I’ve encountered a) it does not stay connected so I have to close the app and open it again b) now it’s started saying ‘connect your tv and the app to the same network’ when they are connected to the same network already. I only have one network to connect to. Frustrating 🤦🏻‍♀️
