I use this with an LG TV. App works well. It would be great if some of the actions could be made visible to Apple shortcuts. For example I have a scene for movie mode - blind close, lights switch off and the LG app opens. It would be great if I could automate the TV controls to switch on, and select a streaming service. Over all good app though.

When the app works, it’s very useful and overall a good experience, but there are many intermittent issues and features that simply don’t work like the log-in option for TVs, the remote keyboard feature, and sometimes the remote TV control will just decide not to work anymore.

These features would be great if they worked reliably. In summary, the dev team needs to do more QA testing before pushing features to the app.

This app used to work, then it got updated and consistently fails to connect to my TV. Trouble shooting etc. nothing works.

LgTV is just behind everyone in terms of functionality like parental controls etc

I come across here , to write a review of the most useless application ever come across on the internet, and remember we are in 2024 , the year where humanity can use AI and all stuff. LG did a great job with their products, especially TV’s , high quality image, high quality sound , but worst application to use on those devices. I am on the same wifi with my tv and took ages to connect the “smart” remote to my tv , if I move my phone on another network, you’re screwed, no input at all , so I moved back to my previous wifi where other devices are connected, and I had to reset , update, remove, add endless movements only for getting this application to work. After successfully connecting, work for 1 month and now again does not work. Or you can do a proper job on this or not , otherwise it is useless. My advice for developers? Remove this piece of useless application from APP store.
