Invasive
The only thing I want to know, is when it’s time to run a clean cycle on my washing machine. LG wants me to repeatedly agree to an obscenely long invasive agreement in order to get that. I’ll be shopping elsewhere in the future.
Can’t turn on TV with new version
I used to be able to turn on my G1 TV with the app but after updating to the new version I can’t anymore. I can turn it off with the app, but not on. 05/02/2024 Update - The issue has been fixed with the latest update and I can now turn on and off my G1 with the app.
Doesn’t recognize TV
I use the LG TV Plus app with my TV. It keeps telling me to use this app but this app won’t register my TV and won’t let me tell it to use the one from the remote application.
Unable to login
Downloaded the app. went to sign in, received the emailed code but the “complete “ button is greyed out and cannot tap it to complete the login process.

This is a GREAT product! The controls on the unit itself is very user friendly. The app is also very user friendly, clean and organized not a lot of clutter and I love the self diagnostic on the app. As for how well it cools the room it is wonderful! It has out performed my expectations.
Drains battery
New update drains the battery like crazy. It also requires more clicks to use the remote for your TV.
Massive privacy violations, exposes you to security breach potential
This app collects your photos, audio data, usage stats, etc. and it fights HARD to send them back to daddy. Despite only connnecting over bluetooth one time, and never connecting via wifi, this app has been hijacking the phones antennas to broadcast all available data it can in hopes of satisfying the TV’s ACR goal. For those unaware, all smart TVs today attempt to collect your usage data, including the PRIVATE things you do, on devices that are not and never have been connected to the network. ACR = automated content recognition
App does not need access to my location
Privacy settings on this app are horrendous, it requires precise location, access to bluetooth & local network
