Exciting Enhancements for Libre 2
I was very excited to see my FreeStyle Libre 2 can now stream every single minute. It’s nice to no longer have to worry about the 8 hour scan time and losing data!
Description
Libre app[±] is a continuous glucose-monitoring (CGM) app that helps people living with diabetes track their glucose.
Replaces the previous FreeStyle Libre 2 and FreeStyle Libre 3 apps[±], Libre app is compatible with FreeStyle Libre 2 and FreeStyle Libre 3 system sensors.
Why Libre app:
• Readings automatically update on your phone[±] every minute.
• Optional alarms[*] discreetly alert you the minute your glucose is too low or too high. Choose to silence[α] them for up to 6 hours.

APP INFORMATION
Libre app[±] is intended for measuring glucose levels in people with diabetes age 4 and older when used with FreeStyle Libre 2 and FreeStyle Libre 3 sensors, and for people with diabetes age 2 and older when used with FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus and FreeStyle Libre 3 Plus sensors. For more information on using any FreeStyle Libre continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) systems, refer to the user’s manual, accessible in the app.

*. Notifications will only be received when alarms settings are enabled and turned on and sensor is within 20 feet (FreeStyle Libre 2 system) or 33 feet (FreeStyle Libre 3 system) unobstructed of the reading device.
α. Silent mode silences signal loss, glucose, and urgent low glucose alarms, for up to 6 hours. You won’t hear these alarms, even with Override Do Not Disturb on, but visual and vibratory notifications may still appear per phone settings.

Sticking with Libre 3 App for now
When switching apps from Libre 3 to Libre by Abbott, you need to start with a new sensor. The Libre by Abbott app cannot connect to your active sensor, nor will the new Libre by Abbott app contain your historical data. Your data, however, will still be in Libreview. Future feature requests: - Allow 2 connections to sensor - 2 different alert profile - delay 1st high alert (15 mins - 24 hours) - calibrate sensor to blood readings - Apple watch integration - Glucose Home screen updates - Ability to zoom in on trend line
Very insistent Alarms
App works for what it’s supposed to do, but it will continue to alarm if your out of range even after you look at the app. It will alarm for the entire time you are bringing your sugar down to within range. Also, the connection is not particularly reliable, but you can get recent history by tapping the phone and sensor together.

Why is there no native Apple health integration? We as diabetics would benefit from native Apple Health integration not having to use work arounds. I know by keep all my records in one location I can make the best medical decisions for myself without having to navigate several apps, websites, logins, mfas, etc. Rant over. The app does look visually much more appealing than the last iteration for libre 3. So a Big Thank You for that! Please consider Apple health integration natively.
Disappointing
I was expecting more from the app but it’s basically the same as Libre 3

New look to the same trusted CGM.
Solid upgrade
After using the Libre 3 app, this is a very nice improvement. The app is easy to use and the new design looks good.
