LibriVox Audiobooks

This is still the best app for accessing the Librivox database - however a couple of years ago they made a change to the playback bar which has made it incredibly frustrating. Now the playback bar shows little audio bars for the section you are in and makes it incredibly difficult to jump forwards or backwards in a recording. I wish they would change it back or have an option to do so in settings

Of late, the performance of what used to be a great app has fallen away, as its search facility can no longer find a significant number of books in the Librivox catalog. I have recently reported this issue to the app’s support address, but have yet to receive a reply. If this problem was fixed, I would give this otherwise excellent app 5 stars.

I really enjoyed this timeless classic. The readers spoke clearly and with emotion and excitement in their voices when the story required it. Thank you.

I love listening to the detective yarns

Annoying that app can now only be viewed in portrait mode.

My husband and I love this app and have used it for ages but recently (May 2022) there has been a problem with it cutting out continuously during a chapter of a book. We have tried using three different phones and same problem. Hopefully you can fix this problem. Thank you.

This is a great App, and there are many talented readers who bring the classics back to life. It is unfortunate that the Review component of each book does not seem to be working.

Have found the app to be very good, however the volume level on some recordings is so low cannot Hear the reading over road noise
