Crashes

App doesn’t open. Have to use iPad or website. Tried deleting and reinstalling and it didn’t help.

Doesn’t function

The app loads but nothing happens when you click anything …

Save button in own studies is a must

hufhdjfkdj on

United Kingdom

An intuitive user-friendly app. I would give it 5 stars if I could save my own studies. I can save on my laptop but that limits me to when I can use it. I can save on my phone, but web version only, but that is very clunky and difficult to use. When you scroll it thinks your selecting something (and you lose where you are), tables don’t fit right on the screen and the games database seems limited. A simple save button on the studies would make this my number 1 app. It would also free me up to study chess on the go and not get in the way of day to day stuff, this is due to the laptop being like an operation and requiring more personal space and time. The app would allow more flexibility with a save button. I hope a future update would include this, otherwise it’s a great app missing a great function button.

Sick of having to reload app

Mowshmahlah on

United Kingdom

Through no of my own this app has locked about 100 times. I am a chess master and I think the developers need to investigate how and why the system can lock and penalise the right abusers. This is still the case when I play anonymous mode and I notice opponent has gone but not officially and so I go and do stuff when I return he indeed is gone but I am locked out and have to reload the app. How wrong is that. It only happens less often because I resign games all the time in obviously won positions when opponent has obviously gone. Have some respect for your isers and identify properly who should be blocked drom the site. This really wastes my time

Keeps freezing and won’t allow me to play.

As above! Website doesn’t seem to have the same problem as the app.

Crazy lag midgame makes bullet unplayable

randome_characters_i2ndf3(203 on

Recently ive been loosing 1-2s a turn midgame in bullet due to lag, idk what is going on but this needs to be fixed, I can’t manage my time with such sporadic timing. ive lost all my games fue to time on mobile even when using only pre-moving on +1. this never happened on pc. my wifi is gigabit fiber with 4ms ping. this is 100% an issue with the app.

Great possibilities with terrible realisation

Beardybadger57 on

United Kingdom

I have relatively turned to online chess and this app seemed ag first to offer everything I was looking for, including playing with friends online and playing against a chess computer. However, the human interface is terrible and the reliability is dreadful. I measure the usefulness of an app by comparing how long I spend achieving what the app is meant to provide and how long I spend trying to make it work. This app is probably the worst I have ever tried on this basis. Too complicated, too confusing and just plain doesn’t work most of the time when trying to play with friends online.

Web vs app

ScanHappyFan on

United Kingdom

I was actually very happy using the web version. I only downloaded the app because I hoped that it would be able to load my PCN files. However, whilst you can paste in the contents of something in PCN format it doesn’t seem that you can actually open an existing PCN file.
