I was quite disappointed when the app suddenly ultimately required to update itself while me being straight at cashier desk ready to scan Lidl Plus. 10 minutes earlier it had informed of a new version and had let me browse through savers and coupons, so I just postponed an update. The app was open during this time. So it was quite a surprise that costed me about 15 euro of discounts.

Despite a number of emails the app does not work properly meaning the numerous if us are not able to receive the social prices nor build up our total spend to get the money back coupon,. Despite a number of emails regarding this matter the situation remains. None of your cashiers are at all surprised when we say the card doeswork as they are well aware of the problem. What does Lidl intend to do about this as basically all that is written not the discounts etc is basically false advertising when you are aware of this problem. I have numerous receipts of which only a small portion show any discounts. Many of the products purchased in good faith were paid for at full price and of course nothing was added to my total spend. Does Lidl intend to sort this problem or do we have to shop else where. Kathie

Terrible app.  
Slow to start up with stupid so called gift boxes waisting your time and offering things that you rarely buy. 
Does not allow you to select favourite products on offer to create a kind of shopping list. 
Only benefit is to accumulate spent over a month in order to a tiny value coupon.

Stop sending notifications about app updates when there is no update. Make a difference between Android and iOS updates in the app. 4 days in a row you ask me to update 4 days in a row there is no update. 🤦‍♂️
Also why do I have to activate coupons manually? Shouldn’t they be activated automatically?

I’ve been using this app for more than a year and suddenly a few months ago it asked me to sign in again. I couldn’t remember my password and I clicked to reset it. I never managed to go through the proper steps of doing that as there is an issue with the app and it kept redirecting me. I contacted customer support and they simply told me to sign in on a browser which doesn’t work as there is no option to sign in. Not sure if this is an iPhone issue but I’m not happy with the customer support for the app.

So much easier if you didn’t have to pre select items in shop impulse buys should be credited with any discounts makes life easier surely app designers need to make life simpler for the user than messing about having to scroll through the app. Data you collect should make life easier many stores like Tesco have better loyalty programs

It’s kind of annoying when you are at the cashier and expecting to use the app to get some bonuses but the app won’t start because it REQUIRES the update. Surely enough the update takes minutes and nobody in the queue behind you wants to wait till your silly app downloads it.
But adds more fun is that even after the update and restart it still won’t run and will still show the message that the update is required

Not clear in shop what and where the coupon offers are  -sometimes very misleading - must check receipts all the time - I activate at store - even being told my store to do it at home ( I have 3g) and even with data I sometimes can’t get the correct page up on my iPhone and have to leave the products behind - another time in fact twice the plus special offer would not agree with cash register  - a stress call trying to activate -
