I’m all about delayed gratification and the real time, text based adventure would’ve been right up my alley. I cut my teeth on text adventure games in the 80s. However it was so incredibly depressing. I felt like I needed a whole pack of antidepressants to play this game, and I had a single episode of depression 20 years ago. Basically everything that could go wrong for the protagonist did go wrong. I like to play these games as an escape from real life, and this just felt so much worse than real life. I need some good things to happen in this game. I bought the package, and I’m glad it was only a few dollars, because I don’t think I can bear to play to the end.
