Open the app. Type what you ate. That's it. No forms. No dropdowns. No food databases to search through. Lighter uses AI to understand natural language — type "coffee and a bagel" or "grande oat milk latte from Starbucks" and get an instant calorie estimate. WHY LIGHTER IS DIFFERENT Most calorie trackers feel like spreadsheets. Lighter feels like a notes app that happens to know nutrition math. There's no learning curve. There's nothing to set up. You open it, you type, and your day is logged. The name reflects the experience: a lighter way to log meals. No heavy interface. No clutter. Just a quiet daily total and the freedom to type in your own words. KEY FEATURES • Natural-language logging — describe meals in your own words • AI-powered calorie estimates using live web search and language understanding • Personalized daily calorie target based on your stats and activity level • Live preview as you type — see calories before you save • Tap any entry to edit, swipe to delete • All your data stays on your device DESIGNED TO STAY OUT OF YOUR WAY Lighter was built around one idea: tracking food shouldn't feel like work. The interface is a single canvas with a cursor. No tabs, no charts, no notifications. Just you, what you ate, and a quiet daily total. PRIVATE BY DESIGN No accounts. No sign-up. No email required. Your entries are stored locally on your device. We never see your food log.
