HISTORY AND FORECAST Premium unlocks 24-hour lightning history, a lightning heatmap and storm forecast context from NOAA SPC where available. ALERTS FOR SAVED PLACES Set an alert radius around the places you care about. Free users can monitor one saved place with basic storm data; Premium adds push alerts, wider radius, more saved places, advanced storm data and an ad-free experience. 30-30 SAFETY TIMER Use the built-in timer to follow the 30-minute lightning safety rule after nearby activity. For example; in settings I am unable to locate the adjustment for display-time persistence on the map. It appears to just use an unknown default time period called “latest” which the developer chose for us. The apparent alternative to “latest” is “past 24h” which does not display any strikes when this option is selected. What it does; it seems to do without crashing which is better than many programs do when they are new and as yet unrefined. This program has good potential to evolve into a go-to program; however it has not yet reached this level. -- NN0M, 2026-09-04 ### *---- "Didn’t do what I needed. Hard to see where the historic strikes were." Really hard to see the lightning strikes. the icon doesn’t stand out. It’s shows you ‘2 in the last x hours’. Tapping that does nothing to focus the screen on where they were. I know there was one really close to my house at 11:30am today.
