Microsoft Phone Link: Frustrating and Unreliable

Bradley 1017 on

United States

So, I gave the Microsoft Phone Link app a shot, thinking it would make my life easier by syncing my phone to my PC. Honestly, it’s been nothing but headaches. For starters, it constantly disconnects. One minute it’s working fine, and the next, poof—gone. You end up spending more time trying to reconnect than actually using it. If you’re an iPhone user like me, forget about having a smooth experience. You can’t send group texts or pictures through iMessage, and don’t even think about mirroring apps. It’s like they barely tried for iOS users. Notifications? Hit or miss. Sometimes they show up; other times, you’ll miss an important alert because the app didn’t bother syncing. Setting it up is a pain, too. Pairing the phone and PC should be simple, but instead, it’s glitchy and frustrating. Even when you get past that, the app feels slow—loading messages and photos takes forever. Honestly, it feels half-baked. Unless Microsoft steps up and fixes these issues, I wouldn’t recommend it. It’s just not worth the hassle right now.

I needed help to send longer tests right from my computer. phone Link allows me to copy and paste from my desktop making this app so essential to my life! I can look up details quickly and know at a glance when replies are sent.

It simply works

This app in my opinion is 5 stars off the charts totally awesome!!!!! It works quite well with my PC. And works well with my IPhone 15 mind you. It has made great improvements recently. I highly recommend.

A good start

Just as the the title states, it’s a good start. A good option to have when you’re busy at your desk and too lazy to pick up your phone that’s charging on the other side of the room. Obviously needs more updates to rate it at 5 stars such as being able to see images, group chats, emojis etc.

Pretty good

It’s a pretty good app but sometimes it takes a while for messages to send and they don’t always align

Unable to pair

Luc1234 on

Despite both Windows and iPhone displaying pairing code, pairing never succeeds.

My laptop

This is the best laptop

Lackluster and doesn’t work some of the time

FayoBalo on

United States

Doesn’t do that good of a job doing everything it’s supposed to do, but it’s OK for just looking at incoming notifications or answering calls when your phone is in the other room. Seems to have problems every now and then connecting even if my phone is right next to my computer and can connect fine to my other devices.
