I looked up a few “courses” on visual studio. The videos were just instructors saying over and over again how great the tool was. The videos never got to the point. Maybe there is good content elsewhere in the tool but Linked in should exersise some editorial control.
You’ve made an app whose sole reason to exist is playing videos and there is no play/pause button. Why would you do something like that? Why on earth would you even think of doing something like that? How does making your customers mad help you?
Initial thoughts only + love the download facility so that you can watch offline. Bus journey to/from work is going to be more productive - hate the player as it’s impossible to see the player controls (e.g. pause, skip 10s) as they blend into the video. Put a contrasting border round each of the controls Not sure if it’s the player or me (so not saying it’s a -ve) but it seems unresponsive. It may just be my clumsiness
I wanted to use on the go while working or to listen in the car. After a few random minutes it closes.
Since updating my iPad to OS16 I haven’t been able to login via my university address. Have removed and reinstalled updated app to no joy. Disappointed wanna be learner.
I can download courses but they do not work without connecting a LinkedIn account. That doesn’t work either.
This app has been rubbish for its entire existence. Downloads are sometimes not available offline. Constant pauses, no way to turn off mid-course assessments, logged off after a period (particularly annoying if you have a corporate membership which requires single sign on). The content is old and some of the lecturers are just speakers with little real world experience (eg Angela Wick). Would like the ability to “not recommend” certain speakers as a result of their low quality output.
Move to a new country and you will lose all access to your account. You can’t even cancel a subscription and not possible to call and write an e-mail to get the issue fixed….
Like app. Easy to use. Good free courses.
There’s a very old review claiming no Picture in Picture, however this is not the case for the latest app version. You can use other apps and the videos will overlay.
