Whenever I try to use the app, I first run into a message saying I can’t be reached at my email address. It’s cool. You’re just being blocked by our email provider for spamming. So maybe add a ’stop complaining about this’ option. Also, even after this, most of the screen real estate is taken up by ads. That’s not what I’m looking for, so basically, this app offers me only slightly more than nothing useful whatsoever.
My user experience was interrupted by a popup soliciting feedback for this app. Luckily the popup was not overly invasive and did not cover the entire screen - hence 2/5 rather than 1/5 stars.
The language of the app is forced to Finnish, even though in app settings the language is set as English, with no option to change anything. Bring back English language, as the translations to Finnish are bad quality and just confusing. On web browser everything is in English, so I don’t get why on mobile app it’s forcibly changed to something different. Impossible to edit any work/volunteering/education history in app. Pressing save changes does nothing, and when closing the edit window, the app asks if you want to discard changes. Again, making edits on web browser works just fine, but on app doesn’t. Then there’s the basic complaint that the useability of the app and Linkedin in general has been worsened over time, as features have been locked behind obscenely overpriced ”gold subscrition.”
Just registered, verified my account and now I can’t login anymore. Doesn’t accept my phone number or my professional email which were both verified when I registered. Makes me super uncomfortable to know that my CV and other professional info is ”out there” somewhere inaccessable to me. Feels like someone has already hacked my account. The customer service is terrible, I can’t get contact with them since I have no access to my account. I absolutely do not recommend this platform.

Päivityksen yhteydessä kieli vaihtui ios:in oletuskieleksi ja mm. notifikaatioiden käännökset suomeksi todella huonot. Kieli pitäisi voida valita erikseen sovellukselle.
Linked’in on mielestäni kehittynyt hienoon suuntaan. Se tarjoaa nykyisin mahdollisuuden interaktiivisuuteen. Jatkakaa vain valtulla linjallanne.

Linkedin has clearly given up on the idea of being a professional platform and wants to be Facebook now. There are tiktok-style videos and addictive brainrot content is intentionally promoted. I used to see posts by local Finnish professionals but now it’s just hustlers whose comment fields are full of bots saying ”I agree.” or ”Insightful”. Typical post is a fake story of employee once asking the writer if he could take a day off to bury their mother and how the hero gave them a whole week of holiday because they believed supporting people is important and being horrible is bad, like if you agree?
