## Linphone Description
Linphone is an open source internet SIP phone or Voice Over IP phone (VoIP).

Linphone is an open source app offering free audio/video calls and text messaging. With Linphone, you can be reachable at any time, even if the app is closed, with a WiFi or 3G/4G internet connection.

Linphone key features:
* high definition audio and video calls
* audio conference calls with various participants
* pictures and file sharing
* Linphone accounts reachable at any time, even if the app is closed (thanks to push notifications)

Many problems. The worst is that the app has to be in the foreground and your iPhone awake for calls to be received. I have got about 4 crashes in about 30 min of use.

I was excited to try the new features for answering from the lock screen and from a bluetooth device, but I guess they are only possible from iOS 10, not from my iOS 9.3.3.

While configuring my voip.ms service, Linphone crashed. When I attempted a call using my Versature service, Linphone crashed.  I look forward to using Linphone when it is more stable.  Meanwhile, Media5-fone and Zoiper are good alternatives.

In Nov 2016 I had offered to help provide crash details to the Linphone mailing list, but did not get a response.  I'm not sure how else I can help improve this app, which I really *do* want to succeed.
