Liquid Math is a tool for creating art with biological simulations. There are patterns in nature all around you that form spontaneously from surprisingly simple rules. With Liquid Math, you can use these rules to create art with these patterns, which happen naturally in the raised edges of brain corals, pigmentation in animals with stripes, and more. Think of it as a drawing program that brings your brush strokes to life.
Features:
- 40+ reaction-diffusion presets to get started with.
- Make and save your own simulation rules for later.
- Change the look with deep theme customization.
EPILEPSY WARNING:
Liquid Math can produce very rapidly strobing images which may trigger seizures in those with photosensitive epilepsy.

Engrossing and useful
Fun to play with which is why I first downloaded this app. Currently I’m embroidering on gelli prints and I had been finding topographical line drawings on line to trace but then I realized that this app is perfect for making all manner of interesting line drawings! Great stuff. The math aspect I love because, even though I don’t understand it, it shows how math is beautiful.
Can't save to device
Live the patterns and options. When trying to save video, saving to device is not an option & it only saves to files with no way to see the video in acceptable format for iPhone. Are there options for file format saving? Does the video have the record button or the full screen icon at the bottom shown? I don't know because I can't see the saved video. Fun to play with though
Great job still….!
I am wishing to import my own photos and use the settings to filter them…this would be huge….and much better than most filters available….you could even have high to low contrast settings? Since the output tessellates it would be nice to zoom it out to show the tessellation appearance??? Wonderful work.
Neat but some issues...
The app crashes whenever I try to click the “i” button. :(

Great survey of reaction / diffusion techniques!! Really fun to play around with & pretty flexible.
