Powerful note taking, but crashes sometimes

RingSig on

This is the probably the most powerful note taking tool that I found so far. It provides basically everything that a researcher requires for their daily reading. Although the app crashes occasionally. I want to make several suggestions in terms of functionality: 1. Allowing copy of pens and highlighters can be super helpful. I’d like my quick access tool bar to have multiple pen sets, where the pens have different colors/line widths. 2. Add rectangle/circle tool for selecting a large portion of texts. Many thanks for making this app. 😊

Worth It

JIMMY_NEURON on

It’s a simple equation, if your work depends on speed, organisation, agility and confidence in accuracy, then there is is absolutely no substitute for LN

Buggy

MadnessCravesWords on

This app showed promise, but it keeps freezing and can’t read some words/numbers in a document, despite its a PDF with OCR in it. I’ve had other apps that copy and paste better. When I try use select more than one text to make multiple highlights for auto excerpt, it can’t or won’t pull all highlighted text into one box, in fact it only shows one thing that was highlighted as auto excerpted, but nothing else I highlighted when I used the select more. When you want to export notes, it has this silly thing of titling ‘object group’ which like, no one wants or needs. So I have to spend my time editing all that out of my notes. So much for a time saver. Also the notes export options are limited, It also keeps freezing randomly too. My ipad is less than a year old, so I don’t think it’s the ipad. None of my other apps freeze. Just this one. I hope to see these features improved in the near future. Once these are fixed, I’ll update my review.

Great for research

PodS247 on

Fantastic when it comes to research, reading and being able to link information across documents. I have taken some stars off because there are three important missing features for me: 1. the ability to set default excerpt and comment text sizes for each workspace. 2. The ability to adequately format workspace exports for print (for example for open book university exams). Open book often means hard copy only. While I appreciate the paper-free design of the app, there needs to be some efficient way to generate usable legible print outs when needed. Lastly, 3. I have noticed that some LiquidText files get corrupted and become unusable.

Section Navigation

Jet-2001 on

It would be better for large documents if there was an option for a pdf navigation pane so sections and subsections could be bookmarked and quickly accessed. This would be particularly useful when multiple tag categories are already in use.

Best app for Barrister or trial lawyer

RogerAus on

Four years ago I reviewed the iPad app and said that it was almost perfect for a trial lawyer. It has only improved since then. Most of the issues have been addressed and they are constantly working to improve it. There really isn’t another app with the same functionality.

Not syncing

vicky4545 on

The app works perfectly fine and fits with the iPad and apple pencile. The only problem is that even though I have purchased the LIVE package, the documents between my devices are not syncing. I have a stable connection and have already tried to delete most of my documents on the apps to clear out more storage for sync, but nothing happened. I have contacted the developers for this issue with evidence, and there are still no fixes to my account.

Limited Export Options

Gakdhcndka on

I would like to be able to download multiple documents at a time in the pdf file and not in the LiquidText format, as the latter can only be opened with the Liquidtext app. Every time I want to download a document from the app I have to open it and export each one of them as pdf. I would like to download these docs to do an external back up but I have too many documents in the app to be able to do this individually. There should be an option that allows me to download multiple documents in pdf format without having to open each one of them.

Missing Information

R.Freeman on

Latest update says it is possible to purchase the pro upgrade as a once off pay instead of a subscription but when you click only the subscription info is there🙄

Pretty bad

m.lgp on

This is one of the Worst apps I have ever purchased it’s so slow and buggy makes trying to study for anything a chore.
