Don’t waste your time. The most recent update promises a slew of useful features, but then…after you download it..you discover that your purchase was worth nothing. All—and I mean all—of the new features are behind a subscription wall. The only thing LiquidText is good for anymore is as digital toilet paper. It never did function in a stable manner. There is no “discounted” price for students. The subscription is always priced the same way. Their ‘confirmation’ algorithm is a lie. The ipados version has gotten much better with the last update, but this macos version is still a bit of a joke. Load an average book-length PDF file. Choose a search term that will appear 20 or 30 times. Pinch the search results together. Then try to scroll. LiquidText will start doing a flashy light show for you. Do it enough and it'll crash. In other words, it still has a memory problem. A big one. One that renders its use for any serious work impossible. It took the developers literally years to make the memory problem better on the iPad version. I don't expect any quick fix with this one, either.
