Little Ones™ Reviews

Best money ever spent!

This app is brilliant and I hold it responsible for making our first year as new parents such a pleasure. We struggled with a colicky/reflux baby from about 3/4 weeks old and over tiredness was getting out of hand as a result. By the time the 4 month regression hit and I’d read the whole of the internet, Little Ones got advertised to me and I got on board. My partner and I often say that we wish we’d have found it sooner as we seen results and a much happier baby within a couple of days and it’s gotten better and better since. The constant updates of advice depending on baby’s age and all the available content to troubleshoot problems are fantastic, not to mention how knowledgeable and attentive the experts are when you pay extra for the village (which we paid for two months as we needed one to one help and it’s so worth it). Our little boy is coming up to 12 months old now and we will more than likely purchase the next package for his age. I have recommended this to so many people and they are all delighted with their results too. We are a happy, well rested family and I could go on and on about all the great things you can get from this app and programme. It’s a fraction of the price compared to 1-1 sleep consultants but you may only resolve sleep issues in the short term with a sleep consultant, whereas Little Ones supports you through all ages, regressions and transitions. Thank you! Xx

FANTASTIC APP

This app is worth every penny. As a first time mum who had no idea what I’m doing, the routine’s alone are a game changer. There’s a routine for every age (eg 6-7 months, 7-8 months) and it’s super clear and troubleshooting tips for if things are working. I really rely on these now and my 7 month old little girl is napping without issue and eating well at regular times. She’s much happier in a routine and we’re all much better off thanks to this app. Don’t hesitate, spend the £24 - it’s really worth it!

Caused so much unnecessary stress

This program worked eventually for my little boy. My 10 week old little girl however has much higher sleep needs and her wake windows are way way shorter than what is suggested on this app. I was keeping my daughter awake accordingly to the app and it made her a very overtired baby - me not realising that I needed to cut back her awake time by about half an hour. When I suggested this when asking advice I was rudely told that there was no way my baby needed such little awake time, leaving me feeling very very deflated and tearful. I scrapped this app’s routine and went with my gut and instantly her sleep improved. I’m not sure whether the sleep consultants are sure what they’re doing or saying. It just seems to be copy and pasted information and not taking into account that all babies need different amounts of sleep. I was also mum shamed by one of the consultants for letting my baby sleep all day. The only pro is they have some useful information about other things, and the sleep and feed tracker is helpful too.

This app WILL NOT WORK if you’re a mum who works full time. I don’t know how you’re expected to be able to follow a plan that requires nap times/bed times, meal times & milk, to be at the same time every day?! I work on a rota, some days I finish at 6pm and others 4:30pm, so I get home at different times- sometimes 7:30/8pm others 5/6pm So bedtimes will never be the same time every night. I have come to the conclusion that EVERY BABY/CHILD IS DIFFERENT and just like other milestones, will achieve sleeping through in THEIR OWN TIME. Waste of money, waste of time.

Pros- the information provided regarding sleep is very helpful and good. I’ve learned a lot; Cons - the app is horrible and not user friendly at all; I am unable to make my baby nap 2hrs in a row (has someone really achieved this??); the program can be quite stressful and because the app is horrible it can be confusing and unable to follow; if you have questions then be prepared to pay more for answers.

Life saver!

Brilliant app that has helped me through the four month sleep regression and teach my son to self settle. We have come such a long way from contact naps and being unable to put him down/waking up from naps after only half an hour. It has taken time (about four weeks) but sticking to the schedule and using the settling methods really does work and by sticking to it we are finally coming out the other side! Love that the app just updates the schedule dependent on age and I’ve found the advice in the village invaluable! It feels like magic to be able to put my son down and walk out the room and him settle in 5 mins. Would highly recommend the app to anybody!!

Clear advice, great schedules, helpful staff

This app has been a lifesaver for our family. Little Ones have created sleep and feeding schedules that are both flexible and realistic, and even provide a forum service where you can get direct advice at a small additional cost. Our son sleeps well now, and can soothe himself at night. We also can usually work out what he needs and when because the schedule anticipates it. I can’t recommend enough, especially for new parents like us.

Useful for tracking/rough guides/sleep consultant support!

Have been using LO since my baby was born and have found it incredibly helpful. The waking and feeding schedules for the first few months I kept as a rough guide to help with knowing rough wake windows, as I was breastfeeding responsively rather than to a schedule. I tried a few different methods of self-settling through the app but found this didn’t really work for us, but had great support from the sleep consultants to look at different methods. Now my baby is weaning, and able to have longer gaps between breastfeeds, I find the feeding and waking schedules more able for us to follow, and have found it helpful to know roughly how to space milk and solid feeds in relation to naps. Again I hold this loosely as my daughter will not sleep more than 10.5 hours a night, and has a longer wake window for each than currently suggested, but every baby is different! In particular, the poo/wee tracking and sleep tracking features have been really helpful for me and I like that you can look at calculated average nap/wake window length across a week when you have tracked enough data. Thank you Little Ones! I would definitely recommend if you would like a rough day guide to follow, but know that each baby is different.

Unclear about methods and hidden payments

Admittedly I purchased the half-off Sleep Program out of sheer desperation when transitioning my 3-month-old out of her swaddle. She’d been sleeping through the night and all of a sudden would not sleep unless held and nothing was working. I thought this would be perfect to get us back on track but instead none of the advice resonates with us and I feel like if I don’t want to do sleep training, this isn’t going to work. I can’t put her down too soon after a feed or else she’ll spit up everywhere, so putting her down drowsy is off the table. That means I can’t use most of the methods suggested. She doesn’t have scheduled naps and will 9 times out of 10 contact nap, so there’s another thing I must be doing “wrong” as a mother. And then I think I can access sleep consultants’ advice. Nope—only if I pay an additional £5.99. This was not made clear when I purchased the program. Maybe this works for some people, but after a short time using it I’m more demoralised than anything.

We followed this plan up until 36 months with my daughter. She is a brilliant sleeper and has been since about 9 months old (she is now 4) and I honestly think this sleep programme is the biggest contributor to that. The schedules are clear, the pre-reading (though lots of it) is easy to read and understand, and the online community is great. However, my second born has not been as receptive to it and after racking my brains as to why, I think it comes down to the programme being too restrictive. When it’s your first born you can choose not to go out so the baby can have her nap in her cot. However, when you have a toddler to parent as well, that’s not always an option. And as stated in the pre-reading, this programme only works 100% if you stick to it 100%. My son is now 14 months old and still disturbs at least once a night. We’ve even sent my daughter to her grandparents for a couple of nights so that we can focus on getting at least a few days of him on the schedule, but the second she’s home/ he goes through a phase/ we stay a night away/ he’s teething etc. etc. etc., he just reverts and we’d have to do the whole thing again which isn’t an option for us. However, we have still learnt loads from the this programme and I wouldn’t be without it. I still use it as a guide as to how much sleep my son roughly needs and at what times. I just can’t be as strict with it as I was when it was for my daughter and that shows with his sleeping habits. And that’s why I give it 3 stars.
