## Lively Link Description
Lively Link™, a free app for your smartphone, keeps you informed about the health and safety of loved ones who subscribe to a Lively Health and Safety plan.

Link can provide peace of mind by sharing timely updates about your loved one. You can check in with them when you want, from anywhere, without disturbing them – helping them maintain the independent life they love.

Exclusive features help them stay independent and you feel reassured.

Once you accept the invite from your loved one and successfully set up Link, you’re able to access the following features:

Receive Emergency Alerts

Link will send you notifications for selected actions including when your loved one has contacted Urgent Response on their Lively device, allowing you to make decisions quickly and follow up without delay. 

Retrieve Location

When the locator permissions are on you will see your loved one’s location on a map and receive updates if they change location. These general updates happen approximately every 20 minutes. 

In an emergency, First Responders get location updates every 30 seconds. 

Check Activities
Based on information in the Lively device user’s Personal Profile, see if appointments are being kept and receive other reports about their activities.

Check Device Status

Get peace of mind knowing your loved one always has access to a professional in the event of an emergency. Link will let you know the Lively device Battery Status. You’ll also be notified when the battery is low so you can remind your loved one to recharge or replace the battery and stay connected.

I urge you to NOT get the Lively mobile device if you hope to be relying on this Lively Link app to monitor your loved one.   I have had endless and persistent problems with the notifications and location services for 8 months since starting service. I have most recently contacted customer support 3 times in the last month with no response !  They will tell you that you’ll hear back in about 5 days. I get no notifications when the user of the device leaves home.  I have gotten alerts 2 days later in the middle of the night that they’ve located her and then another one that she’s at home.  I’ve gotten other random in the middle of the alerts that they’ve located her even though she never left home for weeks.  When a company like Best Buy cannot even be responsive to customers paying for their poor service,  or fix ongoing issues, why would you depend on them for the safety and welfare of your loved one ?

I have to constantly sign in to check on loved one. Every time I open the app it asks me to allow notifications, but notifications are not available to me as an option. I can allow Siri and other things but notifications the notifications which pretty much renders the app useless.  Notifications only work for one family member (the first one to have access). The rest of us have to count on the one person.

Had the app on my phone from 2022 through 2024.  It started crashing and getting a server error message.  Just tried reloading and get the same message.  Now I cannot track my mom on her phone.  Can this ever be fixed???

### **--- "App on iPhone vs Samsung"
I have been using this app to keep track of the health and safety of my elderly mother for about two years now. It is connected to the lively mobile 2 device. It worked just fine for about a year and then it stopped. Sending me all push notifications for the past year and I have been dealing with lively’s customer service reps for the past 12 months going back-and-forth and purchasing new lively mobile devices. I’m on the third one now and it still doesn’t work. It works with Samsung phones, but it does not work with iPhones for some reason. I really really wish they could figure out how to make it work with iPhone again. Something happened about 12 months ago and it no longer works with iPhones, but it used to just fine. So if you have an iPhone, save your money and buy a difference medical device for your loved one. If you have a Samsung, this is a very good device and app.

I’m still waiting for the app developer/tech support team to contact me with my issue. Please contact me asap so we can resolve this matter. Thank you

Cancellation of the service/account on the app is not obvious. I called up to cancel and was hung up on after I voiced my concern over not refunding for months of non-use when my 88 year mom stopped using the device and after she thought she’d cancelled. Very frustrating.

I have not been able to track my Dads Jitterbug phone which was one of the features that I was looking forward to using. This along with the other tracking features are not working. Setup was also very challenging. It’s only been 1 day but I’m not happy with this yet.

App crashing consistently-have not been able to access since activating the device for my mother one week ago—customer service is clueless, also no information (no location service or battery strength) available on the desktop version despite my being logged in): seems like a very basic service that is promising other benefits and not delivering; I think this company had a recent  rebranding; something has been lost—will be discontinuing my account with them

Addendum as of JAN 1–still no response from lively link regarding the lack of ability to see my moms location, battery level at all— there is zero customer service—when you call lively, customer service says they are not responsible for the app—and I cannot find out who is—I am going to cancel—it does not have the functionality it promises at all!

I cannot for the life of me figure out how the ratings are this high unless they are fake!

I purchased a Lively Mobile for my husband, an active 86 year old. He loves to be busy in the garden, lawn or tending to a healthy farm pond. 
Since I am concerned about a fall or heart issue, I persuaded him to wear the device. 
We’ve had it about two weeks, and I have tried unsuccessfully to install the app on my phone. My problem was that I had an old app and it’s information from an app connected to my mom and her Lively mobile. 
That had to be completely deleted. An email invite had to be sent to an address not connected already with the device. Then, follow the instructions, and all is well! So far, anyway!

### **--- "Some features are very unreliable. Tech support is terrible."
Location services are not consistently accurate. Alert generation often does not occur even though the wearer is clearly “out and about”. Waiting times to talk to support personnel average over 20 minutes hold time. Electronic (email) ticket response time is 5DAYS!!!  EVERYTHING with LivelyLink is problematic. Initiating a new device? Plan for multiple calls, hours on hold, and still you will experience problems.  Last response I received via email is that the issue will take 2 WEEKS to resolve - an issue that was caused by a LL technician entering duplicate addresses for my account.

I upgraded to a new iPhone and I can’t make the Lively Link App send me notifications for my mother’s security device anymore. I’ve been on the phone with tech support several times and they can’t figure it out. If I can’t get this fixed then I’m going to have to cancel Lively service and go with a different emergency call button service.

I’m into my 3rd day and the Lively Link app has only updated the location of the linked phone twice.  A manual location refresh doesn’t work, and two calls to support didn’t help either.  Support told me they “refreshed the link” to the phone and my account and was instructed to logout and login back in after two hours.  After that did nothing, I was then told the phone needs an update, but I know everything was already updated, as I just setup up the phone and updated everything, and it’s never worked correctly.  After questioning when the update came out, the service representative quickly said “thanks for calling in” and hung up.  Seems like I need to find a new service…  Very disappointed so far.

And the operators who speak with my wife pretty often are patient kind and helpful. When necessary they stay on the line with her until family or professional help arrives. I’d pay double without blinking an eye. We have the device that hangs around her neck.

If you are considering this device for an older loved-one…DON’T.  My almost 95-year old mother fell twice in the past month. No alert sent. Luckily after the last fall she was able to call my brother who was nearby and called 911. Terrible service. If I could give 0 stars, I would.

### ***** "“Lively Mobile +” with Fall Detection ✅"
Only three days after receiving my “Lively Mobile+” medical alert device, I bent over to pick up something small I had stepped on in my bare feet. 
The next thing I knew, I had crumpled and was sitting upright, on the floor, blankly looking around. (I’ve had a degenerative muscle condition for 30 years). 
I had began thinking “Well, That was unexpected!”
Then I heard a pleasant, confident voice greeting me by name… from my device:
“Mrs. Pearson your device indicates you had a fall. Are you alright?” Or something similar to that. She also asked several questions checking in my condition. Did I hit my head?, was I injured? etc. Which were all great because a hard fall can leave me befuddled a bit at first. 
Next she asked permission to put me on hold while she called Emergency Services and for me to please stay on the line. 
She was soon back to me and waited with me until Emergency Services showed up. The the call was pleasantly ended. 
Sign me: A Happy, Protected Customer

Note - the device runs on a full charge for approximately 80 hours. 
If it runs low, an unusual beep sounds … Even at 2:30 in the morning. 
I have decided mark Charging Days on my calendar until it is a habit.

Special Note - I expected the device to be annoying to wear. I think I even wanted to hate it because it represented another stage of becoming more disabled. 
I was 100% wrong. 
Instead of being annoying, it is comfortable and I was surprised with how quickly I became adjusted to wearing it all the time. 
Favorite Detail about the “Lively Mobile+” model - My particular medical insurance paid for the device and all the monthly fees. 
If you’re considering this device, at least give your insurance company a call and see if it is covered or helpful on the costs. 
Since I live alone, my family and other loved ones are glad I took this step forward towards safety. They also like the free “Lively Link” app (shows clasped hands on the icon) where they can find out if I’ve had falls or been out and about. The GPS feature helps with that.
