Those beautiful “new lively widgets” I fell for don’t synchronize with your cycle, it’s very stupid to be in follicular phase and see motivational quotes like “Allow your body to rest and restore during your menstrual phase. It’s a time for renewal.” Thanks, will try to remember it in…3 weeks? I would add a screenshot, but just believe my words. And it’s not the first time, I hoped just it was a bug another couple of times I had encountered similar thing here. It’s such a stupid bug that I can’t give more than 3 stars for the app, it is especially annoying that my free trial was over when I received I first quote I couldn’t relate to since it wasn’t synchronized. Now I’m happily pregnant, and cannot use app anymore, because apparently Lively is not for pregnant women!! I couldn’t see it when ordering, and it’s a shame because I wouldn’t bother.
After latest update not even the few things that actually worked is working - When I try to start the app it tells me that there’s no internet connection - Not true. The things you’re recommended for your phase don’t change and that’s sort of the whole point with the app - To do and eat matching to the phase that your in… Remember to unsubscribe if you try it.. I forgot and now I’m stuck with a useless app that now doesn’t even start..
I love this app so much! It’s super helpful. My only complaint is the max day of bleeding you can input is ten days at a time. My period this last time lasted 11 days (nothing out of the ordinary,) but I can’t track the 11th day because the app doesn’t allow more than ten days. I love everything else! But I do ask that this issue is quickly resolved and that the days of traceable bleeding is expanded.
Ive been looking for a new, more mature period app for a while now.. no more pink and cluttered information please.. the app has a very sleek minimalist design and the free version I have includes all the information I'm interested in (basically just wanting to know what phase I'm in and how that will affect me) you can tell it is woman founded and I really hope you guys keep going and make the improvements needed to succeed! this app has so much potential and I'm looking forward to seeing what happens. My own suggestion would be maybe a dark theme?
My parter showed me this app a few months ago and at first I was was really excited and looking forward to all of the features the app provided. That was until I tried using their promising feature, partner syncing. It simply will not allow two women to sync up as partners. So hey, if their language surrounding the app hinting at the inclusivity of “syncing” up with your “partner” appeals to you, but you’re in a wlw relationship, maybe you should avoid, because they only mean that for hetero couples.
Let me start off by saying I NEVER review apps. I’ve probably tried every single tracker on the App Store most of them mirroring each other. But THIS period tracking app????? Freakin life changing. Most period trackers just tell you how far you are from ovulation & your period, but lively gives you an incredibly interactive experience that helps you every day of your cycle. As someone with PMDD it’s extremely helpful because I feel so frustrated & ashamed of myself during my luteal phase. The encouraging messages, throughly researched tips & dietary advice are so amazing. It makes me feel reassured & like trying to manage my period is possible and I’m not crazy lol.
I want to love this app but I’m not quite there yet. I do think it has potential though, if they care enough to keep investing in it. 1) insights needs to be way better. We are logging SO MUCH data and nothing is actually tracked other than our cycle days. They said this was coming in late 2024, but so far zilch. 2) widgets need more options. Silly that the only options are a quote or a rotating list of semi applicable options 3) recommendations should be more refined. Lots of things get recommended at all stages of a cycle, either change the language to make it specific to a stage, or do a separate section for general hormonal wellness. 4) bugs. Lots of bugs that are being “worked on” and “looked into” but no solutions I don’t see myself renewing next year if not improved. I’m reaching a point of diminishing returns
Used to be. When I first downloaded it, it did everything I wanted. I could see all of my statistics displayed in multiple different ways (how basal temp has changed over time, every sexual activity and associated notes; etc). Unfortunately some recent update has rendered it unusable.
Love this app. It helps me keep track of my needs during specific periods of my cycle. I just recently started experiencing a bug with my lively board widget, the box just shows up blank.
