LiveTrax Pro FAQ
Is LiveTrax Pro free?
Yes, LiveTrax Pro is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is LiveTrax Pro legit?
⚠️ The LiveTrax Pro app has poor ratings and negative feedback. Users seem unsatisfied with its performance or features.
App used to be good but now useless for live work..The big issue I have is that the playlists are alphabetical and I cannot see how to change this..l need the songs to play in the order I choose... the play list in iTunes is correct but this app takes the songs and puts them in an alphabetical order in the play list, what is the point of that!
Roll back to update
Used to be a fantastic app until the update The UI changed it became a bit pant. for singer/to control live the old version why way better!
Used to be good......
This 'was' solid and reliable - with no updates it's just become glitchy and I've had to ditch it. I wouldn't buy this in its current form. It's served me well but need a replacement now.
Preferred the old version
I have used livetrax at live gigs since it was released, and it has been great and had great features, including the 'double tap' pause and stop buttons, which stopped you from accidentally cutting a track short during a gig.
However since the update, this feature has been taken away, as has the red delete button at the side of a queued track.
Also the lyrics used to come up on a separate full screen, this has been changed to a smaller less visible screen.
Is there a way to re load the old version to my ipad as using this version has caused me many problems during gigs.
Even better it would be great to have the features I have listed above installed on the new update.
I hope to hear a reply.
Possible fix
Providing you updated through your ipad/iPod and not your main iTunes account and haven't synchronised since the update, there is a way to get the original version back. First delete the app then synchronise your ipad with iTunes, you will see the original green app is still there. reinstall it and bingo. You will still be told there is an update but as we all know it should be ignored.
Mr
Not good , I rely on this app every week for live shows and since latest update it crashes constantly. Rubbish. Please sort out ASAP as ther was nothing wrong with it before.
V2 is not as good as V1.1.2
I have written to the developer and want my old version v1.1.2 back. as the previous user comments have stated, yes it does bomb out back to the main screen, also the double click has been removed, this was so helpful as it help to minimise errors. The new larger playlist font is too big and it dont seem to be customizable. There's no online support, I need my old version back ASAP as I have pending gigs and no way of getting any support replied to quickly. It's not a cheap app and should be supported far better than it is. Anyone want to post a question please contact me at bazaxe@gmail. This is a disaster, was OK but now worse and I fully rely on it.
Bugs in new version
I downloaded the new version yesterday (24 July 2013) and almost immediately found a problem. If you (accidentally) double tap a song from your songlist it will (obviously) appear twice in the playlist window. If you then try to remove one of the duplicated titles the app bombs out. The same happens if you hit the Red STOP button. This app needs a bit more beta testing. If I discover anything else untoward I'll post it here. For the moment this is unusable in a 'live' environment.
Update: Not Such A Brilliant App After All!
This is a brilliant app, more expensive than most but you get what you pay for with quality music apps. Although at the moment it comes without a user guide it is very simple and straight forward to use. The only problem I had was finding out how to put lyrics on. But that was simple too once I found out. All you have to do is go into your iTunes library find the song you want and right click it. There you will find a box with a lyrics tab. Copy and paste from any notepad or word document. Shows text and any chord diagrams. Don't forget to sync you device once that is done. Great feature for rehearsing or live work. The support from the developer is first class and once you send an email it will be answered very quickly. Apparently there are a lot more helpful features to come and a soon to be released user guide and support website which will make this THE number one app!
UPDATE: I completely eat my words! This developer is totally useless when it comes to updates. There are far better updated apps out there now that work as you would expect. Try StageTrax it is far better, a fraction of the price, and with constant improvements such as scrolling and resizeable lyrics, volume for each song, volume for playlist etc, etc. Give it a try this one is now redundant I WANT A REFUND!
Perfect for the job!
I play home recorded aif files from my iPad live 4 nights a week and have been plagued by all sorts of issues with iTunes and other players.
This app is absolutely perfect for the job. Easy to navigate, easy to access lyrics, great screen and nice big responsive buttons!
Slightly expensive - by about £10, but on the whole, a great addition to my live set up.
