Livi lets you see a GP by video – any day of the week.

Get a GP appointment the same day, or book up to 3 days ahead at a time that works for you. Appointments include prescriptions, specialist referrals and sick notes if you need – all without going to the doctor’s surgery.

HELP WITH A WIDE RANGE OF MEDICAL SYMPTOMS

Just like a GP you’d usually see, Livi GPs are happy to offer medical advice for most conditions – although some may require a physical examination.

As well as help for managing long-term conditions, some of the common medical concerns Livi doctors treat include skin conditions and rashes, allergies, digestive problems, women’s health concerns and more.

After failing to get an appointment with my surgery, I downloaded the Livi app. I found it reasonably easy to navigate and make an video appointment for the next morning the doctor rang at the assigned time and was very helpful and sorted out my problem. I would use the service again if a video call was appropriate.

I had an appointment confirmed with a call between 3.15-3.30. I waited for 2 hours but no sight nor sound from anyone. I tried calling their helpline, waited and then they ended the call saying their CS team were too busy and to call back! Thanks Livi, great help.

My 2 consecutive appointments crashed when I accept the video call request so I needed to rebook again.

If you need some advice that doesn’t need physical examination, it’s a good app! My doctors are usually booked to the brim and I cannot get an appointment before two weeks, so it’s a good alternative. 

However, I have found they’re repeatedly late to appointments I’ve booked, and have even cancelled on me after I have waited over an hour - which is what prompted me to write this review. I have never had a doctor phone in the time I have booked, and have waited over an hour and a half before they automatically cancel my appointment.

My advice is if you use this service, book for earlier in the morning so someone is more likely to answer and be on time. Don’t solely rely on this as a solution, as it has thrown a spanner in the works multiple times for me.

Complete waste of time.  Interactive features of software almost non-existent.  Who writes these things?  Won’t register me on my iPad.  No idea whether the app is doing anything when it is supposed to be scanning a passport.  One can be holding the iPad steady of ages without any result except occasionally the app will move on and ask you to wait while it takes 30 minutes plus to say start again. 

Infuriating.

Simple, should be able to check status of GP practice before handing over your phone number, obviously harvesting data. Always keep your data safe, I’m glad I have I separate phone for spam calls.

They give you a 15 minute window for the appointment but are still later than this so have tried to use twice but never actually gotten through to anyone. They do not let you cancel or reschedule once it is close to the range time but they cancel if they are late probably better if they did not give 15 minute windows should probably say half an hour difficult for anyone that is trying to plan around other responsibilities like work or children.
