What a great app! Sometimes I want to watch local TV which can be hard if you’ve cut cable and aren’t able to rely on an antenna. I can fire this app up and airplay to any TV on my house. I can pause live TV too which is incredible! Would give this 6 stars if it was allowed -- Scaught_, 2025-09-07 ### ****- "Almost perfect, but missing a few things." I enjoy the app, but I do have a few gripes with it. First, I feel like there are a few more stations that could be potentially added, like Ion TV, BUZZR, etc. Second, whenever I select any of the PBS related stations, as well as WHDH channel 7, they take me to their respective websites instead of the stations themselves. For it to happen with the PBS stations is sort of understandable, but whenever I try to watch other programming on WHDH, it takes me to the channel 7 website, where it only livestreams its newscasts, and that’s it. If someone could fix the issue, and have the app take you to the station, and not the website, that would be great! Third, there’s currently no DVR feature to record programming on any of the stations themselves, and I would like that feature added as soon as possible. And fourth, as of the time of this writing, LocalTV+ is currently unavailable for the rest of the states in North America. I’m glad we have it here in Massachusetts, but I feel like it’s not fair to the rest of the U.S. that they don’t get to use the app themselves, and that they’re missing out on doing cord cutting with this app. I would really like to see the app released in other parts of the country, so they can get to experience what cord cutting feels like! -- Matthew Hajjar-Betters, 2025-09-06 ### ***** "Cord officially cut" Finally an app with free Boston locals. Living about 30 miles from the city, my antenna gets a mix of Providence and Boston stations but none are dependable. This app works great and has solved our issues! -- JEM0617, 2025-02-27 ### ***** "Works great" I am at the edge of the 100 mile boundary but it still works for me. I screen mirrored to my tv from my iPhone. Aspect ratio is a little different but still acceptable. -- DeathOpie, 2025-01-07 ### ***** "Brilliant" The app totally eliminates the need to have an antenna and decoder box for local stations. Brilliant job. -- -photoflash, 2025-01-02 ### ***** "*chef’s kiss*" Goofy antennas never worked for us so thank you for this! -- Emeyesi, 2025-01-01 ### ***** "A Very Valuable Service" LocalTV+ makes it possible to stream the TV you should already have access to via an HD antenna. It’s tremendous, and more people should use it. I’m grateful to the developer for making it. Thank you! After you find yourself using LocalTV+, you should consider donating to keep things running. -- PKPKPKPEEKAYPKPKPK, 2025-01-01 ### ***** "Great For Streaming Boston TV" If you live in the Boston Metro area, this is a great app to help you cut the cable cord and still get local TV stations without having to mess around with finicky antennas. -- JasperMac, 2024-12-31 ### ***** "Fantastic service for those who cannot use rabbit ears" We live in a very rural town on the South Shore. Unfortunately, rabbit ears do not cut it and we previously were forced to subscribe to expensive TV packages just to watch the local news live. This app has been an incredible alternative to bring our favorite Boston area news into the house. Picture and sound are perfect and there have been no issues with buffering or outages in the two weeks we have been testing the service. Happy to donate to continue the development of this invaluable service! -- ckwebz, 2024-12-31 [View all LocalTV+ reviews and detailed analytics on AppTail](https://app.apptail.io/signup?utm_campaign=ai-crawl&utm_content=reviews) --- ## About AppTail [AppTail](https://apptail.io) is a mobile app intelligence platform providing app analytics, ASO (App Store Optimization) tools, keyword tracking, competitor analysis, revenue estimates, and review monitoring for iOS App Store apps.
