LogTen Pilot Logbook Reviews

All data lost

Since last update from 7.3.2024 all flights are gone. I did the so called Backup via iCloud already before and now I’m asked to do it again but there are no flights in the logbook anymore. It says that another device is synchronizing but I’m using only one!!!! I’m using the program since the beginning but never had anything like this before. 19000 hours just gone - unbelievable and that for that price.

Ridiculous high price

I have been a long time user of LogTen. Bought their software for iOS and Mac. When they changed their plan to yearly payments I forked out the money for a 3year plan that hurt, but I did as I liked the product. Thereafter they only offered yearly plans at again a higher cost. They say it’s because of the support they provide... hmmm... if the program runs, there is no support I need. It just needs to log my flights, the copilots names and the approach and delay codes. Nothing an Excel spreadsheet couldn’t do. Admittedly it’s graphically more appealing than a Spreadsheet, but the markup is simply too hefty. The closest competitor mcc pilotlog offers nearly the same performance at a fraction of the cost. Coradine should do more for long time customers... the way it is now I consider it a rip off.

Good application, just way to expensive

Good Bye logten!

As a long term Logten user it’s time to say Goodbye Logten! It’s the best logbook app on the market with an outrageous price tag! How can you charge 129€ per year for the Mac & IPhone Version and still call it fair? There’s little improvement over the last version where you paid once. I’m willing to pay once every few years for a new version a FAIR price. But not automatically every year for something where there is little room for improvement. A logbook is a logbook, and what a pilot needs is a logbook to log the hours (most of us even don’t need it because the company keeps the records for us), iCloud Sync, maybe a few smart groups and a way to print it once a year. That’s it. You don’t need to develop the app yearly and call it “innovation”. And no, I don’t need the support every week (I did contact it once while converting to logten many years ago). It’s really sad to see a good app going this way by a wrong price policy. Change it and you will generate the same income with more happy customer! I would be glad to be back!

Great App!!

This is a great way also for PPL(A) pilots to log flights and maintain a great overview of your flights and all related data. The guys of the support are very fast and helpful!👍😃✈️👨‍✈️

a bad joke

I bought logten in 2012 and i have been more than happy with it. Quite pricy back then already but you paid once. With logtenprox comes a new version with very little innovation but a yearly subscription at a ridiculously high price. I highly recommend everyone to stay independent by using another log app. i did the mistake by using logten first and now i am trapped in this app, not wanting to pay that much money every year for a nicer looking excel sheet. Hours of wasted time putting in all the figures and numbers. Its just a logbook, not a porsche.

Hands down - best logbook app!

for me the best logbook app out there. ease of use as well as the functionality are just incredible. especially the new design of the iOS version is great. makes logging flights and tracking recency/limits/experience a task of seconds… somewhat i can understand people complaining about the pricing strategy, especially the ones not flying commercially - but seriously - aviation is a tad expensive, you know that. maybe a consensus can be found by cutting the prices slightly while keeping the subscription strategy -> people might be happy again. possible improvements: - ‘share flight via imessage or email’ function - better pricing? - ‘fly now’ function for the notification center

I used an older version of log ten pro for a couple of years. Basically I was very pleased with the program. Initially you had to pay once for the use of the programm. Now you had to pay a yearly subscription which is much to expensive for the for the cause of a logbook. That was the reason for me to change the program. Sorry!
