Doesn’t send your call-ahead to restaraunt
This app doesn’t send your call ahead to the restaurant. Wasted an hour on Friday night because of this. Probably a bug but needs to be fixed.
Update:
Seems to be updated but not sure if it works because you can’t use it to “call-ahead” for a party of more than 4. Not sure who develops Darden’s apps but they need to consider another developer and/or technology integrator. They are still in the mentality of what an app can do 10-15 years ago.
Security concern
Should an iPhone app downloaded through the App Store be downloading updates to itself outside of the App Store? I when I opened the Longhorn Restaurant App, it displayed the message "New update is available" "Download for an optimized app." When I clicked on the message's "Get the latest update" button, instead of taking me to the App Store, it displayed a message and progress bar indicating the app itself was downloading an update.
This made me suspicious , so I deleted the app and its data and redownloaded the Longhorn app directly from the App Store. When I opened the newly downloaded version, it immediately displayed the same "New update is available" "Download for an optimized app" message.
I deleted the app and its data again, and tried logging into my account on the Longhorn restaurant website. The website displayed a message that my account there had been locked and saying I should reset my password for the Longhorn site, which I did.
What are your thoughts on this?
Don’t give email - spam no endo!
App is ok. For frequent flyers. No specials. I deleted it. But, the emails will not stop. No matter how many times I unsubscribe, no matter how many times I respond.. more emails! I could (almost) never go to this place again. Problem seems to stem from some coding they have for mass email advertising. Idk. But I’m relying on yahoo spam at this point. Two stars for the frequent flyers, zero for the in-your-face marketing. Lost sales, people.
Essentially useless
App has no rewards program or discounts. Signed up for text & email messages which consist of emails & texts saying how delicious their food is NEVER a discount or promotion. I have deleted the app and unsubscribed from all messages and alerts.
App is buggy
Tried ordering through the App and it will not let me pick a time for today’s date, says there are no “slots” available. Don’t advertise that you have an app to order from if you’re going to prevent people from ordering. I can go to hundreds of other restaurants that have an app that doesn’t do this.
Clumsy App
Navigation is clumsy. Credit Card camera cannot handle faceless credit cards that have been fairly standard for years. Arbitrarily changed my City to another city that USED TO SHARE the Zip Code FIVE YEARS AGO AND NOW HAS ITS OWN ZIP CODE! There is a NO SEASONING option for the fries, but all it does it put notes on the receipt that are completely ignored by the staff. There is no NO SALT option available, and adding it to the item Notes merely prints more stuff on the receipt for the staff to completely ignore. I guess they simply want to give CVS competition for world’s longest receipts. UPDATE: still no way to get away from OVERSALTED FRIES. NO POINT IN CHECKING INCLUDE BREAD, bread inclusion is TOTALLY RANDOM. Location Tracking WHILE USING is perfectly satisfactory for the app so STOP BEGGING FOR ALWAYS ON. Do your reprehensible data mining for profit somewhere else! Stop wasting time selling data to spammers and put some effort in to customer service!
Wait list is a joke!
I’ve tried this feature more then once and each time they do not have my name nor have me listed. I do not blame the restaurant for which we eat at but if you have a feature of n your app make sure it works. Thank you.
Waitlist doesn’t work
The app works for ordering and paying for food but when it comes to adding yourself to the waitlist, it doesn’t.
Longhorn steakhouse. How bad can they get!
Poorer than poor. Ordered 2. Ribeyes today after 3rd time hubbys was actually med well as ordered. On 4th time mine was still putting off enough blood for a transfusion. I no longer was willing to wait. Mgr had gotten involved after sending mine back third time. Wait wait wait. Told him I was done and did not want it or them to try for a 4th time to cook it again. He was shall we say “passive aggressive” showing his distaste and reluctance to try to satisfy this customer to say the least. He took off the 28$ for the steak He’ll of a comp
App SUXS
App does not allow you to check in at the restaurant when you arrive. Very very annoying!! App has never worked properly. I have a suggestion! Fix it!!!!
