This Servings unit of measure is so confusing. How do you know what my serving size is. How do I define the food in grams? Impossible. Great app otherwise but this one thing makes me not to renew the subscription. I couldn't get used to this even over a while year, I keep translating between grams and Servings. Madness
I paid for a subscription for this app as that was the only way it would sync with Garmin, now that functionality is gone. Don’t waste your money!
Most user friendly of the calorie counter/ food diary apps out there by miles
Lose It! is a very impressive calorie and exercise tracking app and comes in at a subscription cost significantly lower than some of the competition. In many ways, it works as well or better. The database of foodstuffs seems excellent, and it's possible to scan products in your home and have them immediately populate the app. Where it seems to be let down, however, is in its integration with Apple's own Health app and in particular with the Steps module of same. Steps recorded by Health are automatically relayed from the Health app to Lose It! But the process of accounting for these steps is labyrinthine and convoluted and doesn't directly result in a corresponding calorie deficit. Instead there’s a lot of faffing around with bonuses which make little sense, even when the Health app has no problem with the conversion. After trying Lose It! for a number of days, in the end, I switched off the link between the two apps and chose the somewhat irritating process of entering all exercise steps in to Lose It! manually. If you can live with that, Lose It! is pretty good value. But it is a shame that this Health app integration unnecessarily complicates what should be a simple and straightforward process. It’s a reminder, if one were needed, that despite plethora of health and fitness apps available, few if any get all the basics right at an affordable price.
End of the story… is not for free😆! Just waisted my time filling up all the blablabla…
I really don’t like the way this otherwise useful app overemphasises branded foods. It sometimes feels completely like a grocery store survey
I like this app but they want €38.99 off me on my iPhone but €23.99 for the same thing on my girlfriends Samsung plus she can use it without paying anything where I can’t, I had to sign up for the 7 day free trial but I’m not paying that price while it’s far cheaper on a Samsung, is a good app though easy to use
I was a my fitness pal user for about 10years but lose it is miles ahead of mfp. I was hesitant to switch over but the insights, information and overall user experience make me wish I had switched sooner
It’s a great way of tracking your calories and help you to stay in calorie deficit. I lost 17 kg with while using this app.
