Description

Losing Winter is an augmented reality app and archive of memories and emotions about the season of winter, providing a window onto personal loss in the face of climate change. The app immerses the user in a virtual rain show. Tapping once on the screen freezes selected droplets, and tapping a second time enlarges one drop, revealing a person embedded inside and plays a video of them narrating a personal memory connected to the season of winter. Users can pause the video by tapping in the center of the drop and resume it by tapping on the play button. Tapping on the back button will return to the start screen.
