This is my first experience with yoga, and the reason I selected this app was because it featured an extensive pose library in the app description. Where is that found in the app? Without it, the app is useless to me. I attempted to contact support but my message would not go through. Disappointed.
i’m glad this app is finally on tvOS… but, workouts are not synced with iPadOS or iOS, which is really disheartening. also, you STILL have to start a separate yoga, meditation, etc. practice on your Watch if you start a workout on you iPad (and, now, tv) because the watchOS app ONLY works for iPhone. and, full landscape support on iPad is STILL not supported. it just seems like every time a feature is implemented for this app, it’s always half-baked, and it’s pretty frustrating for an app that’s supposed to encourage a state of zen.
First of all I would love to express my appreciation for developing this app for daily yoga practice. This is one of my favorite subscriptions that I cherish and love to have in my apps. I love practicing yoga and Lotus is always with me in ever step of life regardless time and place I can practice my yoga and my body wellness forever ♾️. This is an awesome opportunity for beginners to start practicing yoga at their own pace and time. I love Lotus and I feel blessed practicing yoga with it❤️🙏🏻
I love this app but some of the workouts I do never register in the daily calories burn and Sundays nothing registers in it. I love the app over all but these little bugs are weird.
even though it’s not in today’s release notes (29 March 2023)… this app is FINALLY available on tv!!! i have been waiting YEARS for this—when i was originally told it was in the works. now, the only things i’m waiting for are full landscape support on iPad (which has been a source of contention for many people), and FitnessKit support so that the Watch will just automatically sync with the iPad and (now) tv instead of having to start/stop a “separate” workout on the watch. i hope these features come in a more timely manner.
I purchased and 3 weeks later was unable to access content. I emailed customer service twice before an answer without resolution. Now I’m 3 days in my other email stating it has still not been resolved. The app continues to have me sign up for trial. Now I’m out $80. There is no phone number I can call. Caution to buyers.
If you only want short 15 and 20 minute classes you might like this app. But there are only five or six classes that are 45 minutes long, and zero that are 60 minutes. I won’t waste my money or time when I prefer a longer practice. I really wanted to like this app. It’s reasonably priced (unlike Glo), soothing and straightforward instruction without distracting ego (unlike Peloton yoga), and as far as I know not a front for Russian apologists (unlike Downdog). But the lack of decent length classes makes it useless for me.
Update: This is the best customer service experience. They replied my long email on sunday night! Really impressed! If you are thinking about starting doing yoga, but you don’t have enough time/motivation/possibility/money to go to studio, this app will definitely work for you. Moreover, sometimes it’s even better than a studio! It’s so well done - the voiceover person says just enough and is just encouraging enough without being an over the top “online fitness coach” type. The videos are simple and easy to follow, but the voice is also enough to guide you through the movements without having to look at the screen. There are several playlists and they are really well composed, it’s modern music that fits my taste and is not distracting (I hate for example songs with lyrics as it’s extremely distracting and some other apps didn’t pay attention to that detail). The flexibility to choose between a ton of different time lengths, types of practice and levels is amazing and in contrast to some “compose your own class” apps (usually these sequences turn out to be a bit... weird ) they are well thought and flows match the descriptions perfectly. Really, really great and I’ve done a lot of online workouts .. this is the closest thing to an actual yoga class that I’ve found. Btw I love the latest update. User experience is much better than before. New classes are better than previous ones. New teachers seem really experienced.
Recently I’m in a place without any yoga community so I tried out several yoga apps. This one is simple and elegant, and with a focus on improving your practice. Never boring and easy to grow your skill. I feel it’s really aimed at people who really want to practice yoga as an integral part of wellness, instead of just another type of superficial workout. The guiding voice is so soothing and I keep it on to take advantage of the timely reminders to self-correct. The videos are good quality and show the transitions between the poses clearly. And, required for me, you can download sequences to use offline. It is not overwhelming with unnecessary bells and whistles. The app is a delight for beginners as well and is a great introduction (or re-introduction) for those who may not have recently been on the mat. The latest update made the app even clearer and easier to use. I think that videos with different teachers, in different places brought a wind freshness. The one thing I could recommend may be adding some outdoor sessions. But overall, this has been the first yoga app I have stuck with since I’m not able to participate in regular yoga classes. Thank you!
