Figured I’d give it a try…and I’ve never looked back. I’ve lost nearly 20 lbs in less than a year (including taking a 4 month break in the summer) and still going! All I do is eat better and go for walks (no gym). It’s simple to make better dietary choices when you see how your weight is impacted each day. Be consistent with weigh-ins (even on days that you know will be bad) to have the best success. By accounting for fluctuations and showing what your trend weight is, the app helps to keep you from getting discouraged. There is no tricks to this app - it simply helps you keep on track and make better choices for yourself. I find it very motivating to see the weight loss on a graph. I often would lose weight after fighting like crazy to lose anything. I would always do everything exactly as told. I’d lose, then gain it all back often a little more. I saw Andrew on the news and thought this could work. I decided to lose 100 lbs in two years. A pound a week. It’s s still difficult, but when I’m done I can keep the same eating patterns for life. I’m only changing a little thing at a time so it’s doable. I still eat some of my favourite things and lose. I appreciate the app on my IPad to encourage me or help me through slow times. Also I’ve had to reach out to Andrew a few times with questions and he answers. I’m down 20 and 80 more to go. I work out 5-7 days a week and was still never budging from the 5 pound range I have been in for years. I think the more I worked out, the more I would justify eating whatever I wanted. It is really helping me stay on track better because it provides a visual to me of how the choices I make each day affect my goals. For me the scale alone was not enough motivation. Having to log my weight daily on Luuze holds me accountable for my choices whether good or bad and the feedback as well as trend weight tracking helps keep me motivated to continue. Using the excuse of being a busy working mom, I haven’t prioritized losing that weight. I already knew that I was eating more than I needed to and being more mindful of what, how much, and why I’m eating has helped me drop back down to my pre-pregnancy weight.
