As the children board the LuxLiner bus, they tap their Smart Locator card on the receiver device located near the entrance in the bus. This sends a notification to the parent who has the App loaded onto their IOS device and registered their children with their unique Smart Locator Cards, advising the parent which child is on a specific bus route. When disembarking, the children tap their Smart Locator card on the receiver device and it notifies the parent the whereabouts of their child with the location and time of disembarking. The return trip will not automatically depart unless all the children that undertook the initial journey have boarded the bus for the return trip. The parent or teacher will need to authorise that the bus may depart should a child have been collected by a parent or utilised another form of transport for the return journey.
