I just arrived in the US and used Lyft. I am very satisfied and will use it more often. I was in a hurry so I don't know how to tip the driver.
Fraudulent driver supported by lyft
We booked a drive from midway museum to a thai restaurant downtown. It was a short drive and we were please with everything. When we rate the driver 5 stars and got a bill charge for $20 of cleaning fee. We seeked help from lyft support and was rejected with driver providing evidence that we left sand marks on his carpet. We were surprised with this as our shoes were clean and provided the support with the picture. Anyway, we feel cheated the way lyft handled this incident and we deleted the app and never use this app any more.
Keep asking for driver license on a new phone number
I am trying to register a Lyft rider account and it keep asking for my driver liscence. Searching the internet people suggest that this phone number maybe registered as driver at some point but there is no way that I can unlink that. People has been reporting this since last year!!!
Not a reliable service
When you say save and wait in 15 minutes, you don’t make users wait in 20-30 minutes. When the ride is booked, you don’t let the driver drop the ride within 30 seconds to pickup. This happens way too many times to me.
Unfair and discriminatory practice
The driver arrived, saw me, talked to me in discriminatory language and rejected my ride, then proceeded to charge me with a cancelled, no-show fee. What you have to waste and lose out is terribly bad, on time, money and inconvenience and discomfort!
Overcharged by driver
I was overcharged by driver. I contacted customer service, they said they would investigate and reply me but I haven’t received any feedback until now, over 2 weeks. Extremely upset. I took the trip from New York to New Jersey, it is said that all the trip by Lyft included Toll fee, but driver insisted me to pay extra $20 USD for Toll. He said I had to pay In Tip $20. After the trip, I took a lot of trip by Uber between NJ and NY and never be asked for extra Toll. Really upset about Lyft
