This is perhaps the best solution to the conundrum of using AppleMusic as a streaming platform of a Hi-Res stereo system. Not only does it provides the convenience of a remote control, but it also allow us to get bit-perfect streaming to a DAC, thus by-passing my Mac’s oversampling. And, as a bonus, the developer answer questions rather rapidly in a very serviceable manner. Simply love it!

I got Lysoniq on recommendation from some audiophiles on a forum, and I’m so glad I did. It works flawlessly, and it’s still being worked on and improved. I haven’t been this happy with a piece of software in ages.

### ***** "Finally Apple Music Works"
I have a deep appreciation for the developer of Lysonic. What they did Apple was unable to do. Not only do I now have a working remote for Apple Music but the music sounds better! The interface is very similar to Apple Music so there is very little learning curve. Lysonic works from my iPhone, iPad and MacBook. Same music plays so it is seamless going from one interface to the other.  There are still bugs to work out, some lag, some tracks that will not play but this is a small sacrifice.  Apple’s Remote was tragic and getting worse with every system update. So glad to have Lysonic.

The developer is the most friendly customer support I have ever come across. He also keeps the app frequently updated and adds new features to the extent that Apple allows it. The app is now relatively stable, with understandable amount of bugs and quirks here and there, but once you get it going, it works rather well. 

Overall, highly recommended for it's unique features and excellent support.

When it works it’s great and just what I was looking for.  Controls Apple Music on my iPad that connected to my dac.   It’s just that it doesn’t just “work” all of the time.  Seems like I have to restart my iPad for it to work.  Some times that dost do it, then restart phone.  Maybe it works back maybe not.  Very frustrating.  Great when it works. YMMV

### ***** "Perfect for Audiophiles using Apple Music as their platform"
Downloaded this app as I was looking for a way to control my iPhone/iPad connected to my hifi setup. This worked flawlessly and is a perfect substitute to SpotifyConnect. It works just like SpotifyConnect but with Apple Music. You will need to install it on two devices (the playing device and remote control device). Fairly easy to setup.

### ***** "Made my hi-fi setup way more convenient"
I’m so glad I found Lysoniq! After switching to Apple Music as my music service, I was stuck trying to easily play it through my 2-channel hi-fi system. Since Apple Music lacks a Spotify Connect-style feature, most streamers don't support Apple Music. I'd resorted to running a long USB cable from my DAC to an iPad at my listening position—it worked but was annoying and inelegant. I seriously considered switching back to Spotify and buying a modest streamer just to avoid the hassle. 

Then I discovered Lysoniq and decided to give it a try…and it works great! I bought it on my iPhone, downloaded it on my iPad, followed the setup steps, and it just works. Now I simply unlock my iPad, open Lysoniq, and control playback from my phone. No more cables. 

This small purchase literally saved me hundreds of dollars!

Very well implemented functionality to control one Apple device that’s wired to a DAC/amp from another for listening to true hi-res audio. This app replicates Apple Music on two or more devices on the same network, so that while one is hard-wired to an external DAC, it can be fully controlled from a second device. Pay for it once (greatly preferred to a subscription!), install it on two or more devices; set one as your source, and another as a mirrored remote, and what you see on one, the other is actually playing. I have my iPad connected to a DAC/amp through a USB-optical audio adapter, and can control it from across the room from my iPhone. It works flawlessly, doing anything you can do in the Apple Music app without ever leaving the couch once the iPad is plugged in. I’d give it 10 stars if I could. Great job!

I’m thrilled to have discovered this app. Finally, I can remotely control Apple Music playing on my hifi-connected iPad using my iPhone.  The iPad is connected to an external DAC via USB, and stream hires lossless music to my stereo. Without this app, there’s no way to control the iPad without getting up from my sofa and interacting on the iPad directly. Now that’s no longer necessary!
