## MacFormat Reviews in United Kingdom

### **--- "Couple of issues - slow start-up and zoom scaling."
Horribly slow start-up has to load library every single time, doesn’t appear to cache anything locally for quick start up and referencing back issues - and worse returning to the current issue if you don’t read it all in one session. Needs this one thing looking at, otherwise is good. Screen scaling is odd with big black borders on iPadOS 26 doesn’t fill screen fully, needs to be zoomed.
-- n1ckal, 2025-09-14

### *---- "Need to ‘Restore Purchases’ every time!"
The magazine content is good, helpful and relevant for UK readers…but the app is frustrating. I’ve been a digital subscriber for many years, but every time I want to download a new issue it asks for my payment details. I have to exit the payment dialogue box and search for the option to ‘Restore Purchases’. Every. Single. Month. Once I have selected the restore purchases option, the latest issue is available to download in accordance with my annual subscription. It’s been like this for a long time.
-- Alexoutside, 2025-07-06

### ***** "Excellent"
Macworld UK take note…this is how to run a digital version of a magazine. Excellent UK centric content, well formatted and relevant. Very good.
-- murrayalex, 2024-05-29

### *---- "Can’t even download issues"
The app is severely neglected. Cant download issues even after subscribing, thankfully it was a trial which was easily cancelled. The publisher would be as well deleting this and sticking to print.
-- cwpm1199, 2024-04-20

### ***** "Great response from the help team"
Having experienced problems with setting up the subscription the help team well truly brilliant. Now all is well. Great work
-- mgcted, 2022-10-20

### *---- "Fed up with subscription issues!"
I have to delete, reinstall and restore purchases every month to try and get the latest issue. And even though I have a subscription it still tries to charge me for each issue. I won’t be renewing my subscription when it ends in February!
-- Coaster Crazy!, 2022-10-20

### *---- "Unable to access - cancelled"
App no longer accessible. Doesn't recognize my subscription, even though paid up until May.
-- >ARG, 2022-01-11

### ***** "Mac Format"
Lacks content.
Poor interaction.
-- R S Banga, 2021-08-13

### *---- "Cannot log in"
I have subscribed but this does not allow me to log in
-- Dazzamattazz, 2021-04-21

### *---- "Rubbish app"
Can’t open my subscription
-- Steve from Bath, 2021-03-17
