MacroFactor - Macro Tracker

It’s a good implementation of tracking, but I feel iPad is not optimised for its size and there’s a huge miss for a web interface where I’d be able to type and note my ingredients quicker. Fitness Pal is 80 euro a year vs 20 a month for this. Lack of Garmin integration

They started adding more features not directly related to their core product such as body images (doubtful for a small startup due to privacy), step counters and so on. For now the product works, but it already feels like it starts bloating

Ux has way too many clicks to log food and feedback isn’t any different than free options out there. Calories are also a little on the high side on the estimates . I do like how it’s considering more factors but after a few days of use I don’t see that. I’d recommend removing the tracking part and pulling Apple health data from other trackers instead and focus more on indicators and progress

Clean and intuitive, simple, just works. Would love a water tracker and turns out its on the roadmap. yay

I’ve tried many many apps for nutrition and goal tracking over the years but this one is by far the best. A non-judgemental, intelligent and intuitive app that tailors itself to you. I am a huge fan and the transparency of the dev team is peerless.

I’ve only got this in the last few hours and am not someone that writes reviews but the amount of detail and information this app gives you is impressive. I have been tracking my calories using my fitness pal for over 2 years and when you compare it to this app it is incredible how superior this app is. Jeff Nippard (highly recommend if into fitness) is a co founder of this app who is a science based YouTuber and is very knowledgeable about this information. This app gives little details that other apps don’t think about and actually use the information to give calorie estimations that are pretty accurate (may very depending on individuals). I also like the fact for activity level it gives a step count so you clearly can’t lie to urself about how active you are. Overall highly impressed with the app and the level of detail in the app. Would recommend giving the trial a go.

Just wanted to say congratulations to MacroFactor, they’ve fixed a lot of the bugs I had written about in my review in the last update. I will say I preferred the old Nutrition and Targets Dashboard before the update as it was more clear then the new one, I definitely don’t like the new one at all, they should add a option to choose between the two. Recommended it to most of my friends and everyone at the gym.
