Great app except it needs a wifi connection. 

I could understand needing it for the library function but you can also add your own food manually so whats the point of needing a connection to start up the app? 5 stars easy if the information could be stored locally.

### ***** "I’m so happy how simple it is"
It’s simple, straightforward and user friendly! A lot of apps nowadays I find are “too much” and too animated. Although it’s pretty, I prefer something as simple as this app. I get to do what I want it for: tracking macros. I get to scan the code of my ingredients and it just pops out automatically. I love how there are no ads popping out randomly.

This is my first review ever on Apple just because of how great this app is for me. Gets the job done!

I just wanted something straightforward to track my macros, without ads for recipes and products etc - this app is it! Lots of ways to customize your goals and options that can be enabled or disabled without cluttering the UI. Free version only has an ad running across the bottom.

I find after using the app for a month  it will freeze. I have to uninstall then reinstall, sadly this has been an ongoing issue. Otherwise, I really like the app.

### *---- "Relies on pseudoscience for recommendations"
I’ve used this app a few times to record my calories when I feel like I’m under eating. It’s helpful for that. However, I recently stop using it because I realized that the calorie recommendations are based on BMI. The Body Mass Index was invented by a mathematician, not a medical doctor. 

As a short person my BMI is often high. Yet I am healthy and heavier than other females my height due to muscle mass (not that there’s anything wrong with being or having fat). 

The app assumed I wanted to lose weight and recommend I put myself in a caloric deficit when I gave it my true weight. 

TLDR; app assumed my goal was to lose weight without asking and encouraged me to go into a calorie deficit. All based on the sketchy science of the BMI. Wouldn’t recommend.

I wouldn't normally go out of my way to rate an app, but this thing works fantastic. Allows you to kind of figure out the sweet spot for Macros. If I add 3 cups of rice, and that exceeds my carbohydrate intake, I can put 2.5 and I kind of know how much I need to eat at that point. It's free and works fantastic. Most food barcodes are scan. It has in the system works really well.

The reviews on this app lead me to believe this would allow me to create a diet plan based on adding my own food library or using their database.  Thus I could share this with my healthcare providers.    However, I could have saved hours and hours of tinkering around with adding products to “My Foods” and just wrote out my diet on a piece of paper like one would do it back in the day.  I still cannot find this generic food database or whatever the list of features claims this app has.  Basically all I did was enter a bunch of foods I eat as well as their barcodes and then to create my meals, all I can do is add one of those foods based on services sizes.  Well that doesn’t work when you have a custom diet based on percentages.  I hope I am wrong, and have missed something.  But until support contacts me and confirms one way or another, this was not worth my money at all.  Like I said, pen and paper would have saved hours and hours of product logging.

Upon huge research this was the winner. Easy to use, very affordable subscription and very customizable! Plus it doesn’t come bundled with any other stuff I don’t care for, such as work outs, trainers etc. 

I would like to especially recommend for anyone who is counting macros by weight of protein / carbs / fats as so think this is the best app out there.
