## Magic Hue WiFi Reviews in United States

### ***-- "Worked at first"
Simple app, easy to use. However it doesn’t support 5Gghz wifi. My bulbs just disappeared from my list and im unable to reconnect them. :/
-- cgilbreath_, 2021-06-03

### ****- "Firmware"
There is no way to update firmware on the devices. This is problematic when running multiple devices with different firmware, especially the rgbw controllers. The 6.v1 firmware will not allow light color control via Alexa or google assistant, so when grouped with controllers that do, voice functions don’t work. I don’t know if this is an app problem or a device problem.

Aside from that I’m been using these for years with no problems until these new controllers.
-- Humanguswangus, 2020-07-08

### *---- "Terrible App Loses Connectivity"
I have yet to be able to get it to connect to Alea and the app loses connectivity to WiFi constantly. This makes the timers virtually worthless as it seems it must stay connected to work!! Please make a stable app!!
-- TLPOLSTON, 2020-05-08

### ***** "One problem"
There should be an option to change the brightness on your own custom light settings not just on the single color option. Every time i click on my custom light settings it changes the brightness and there is no way to change it. It also maybe should retain the brightness setting switching over from different settings. Other than that all good!
-- Batman 19720, 2020-03-13

### *---- "Used to work, but now it’s spotty at best"
UI is terrible, interface is confusing and awful. Worst of all? The lightbulb barely connects and there’s no way to refresh. This app really needs a redesign
-- NullValueDude, 2019-10-11

### ***** "How to delete group"
So I accidentally created a group, for some reason Google thinks the group is a light. So I will ask Google to turn off all lights and he says okay turning off 5 lights when I only have 4 how do I delete the Group?
-- mesenplas, 2018-09-22

### ***-- "YouTube"
Shouldn’t have to have songs on apple to play to lights, should be allowed YouTube and other music streaming apps
-- nfkakfsh, 2018-08-08

### ****- "Power Button Doesn’t Sync State"
I’ve been using it for about a week now and don’t have any complaints with exception of the power button.

The power button doesn’t sync the state with the light. So for example if the light is on and I open the app, it defaults to “Off” so pressing it attempts to turn on the light again, which does nothing. You have to press the button again to turn it off. Should be a simple fix but with 3 months between updates I wouldn’t doubt it. My question is what happens when apps like this simply go away.
-- Ac4926, 2018-04-26

### *---- "Mic?"
What happened to the mic?
-- Xx yo mama xX, 2018-04-16

### **--- "Good, but..."
This is good. However, I do think it would be nice if the app supported apple’s “today widget”. Also, the screen background is annoying and I would appreciate it if it was changeable, or else, the background was a solid color. The response time of the light(s) is very fast though.
