MAKEID-Life FAQ
Is MAKEID-Life free?
Yes, MAKEID-Life is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is MAKEID-Life legit?
⚠️ The MAKEID-Life app has poor ratings and negative feedback. Users seem unsatisfied with its performance or features.
This product is something that is needed all over. This is the thing is so much better than older versions of other products from different companies with this app you have so many more fonts and features and it has atomic corrections. This product has been the best thing since the discovery of gravity. 10 out of 10 - Gracie
Vastly underrated, but here are some reqs for the devs
I don’t know why this is rated so low; it’s really quite good and workable for high quality labels with good design merit. I say this as someone who has done professional UX and design for functional elements.
With just a handful of smaller features and fixes, this would be a powerful tool, but for now I’d still highly recommend it and commend the devs for achieving a stable, performant, intuitive, and feature- and content-rich experience in this modest little free app. 👍🏻 Here are my suggestions:
Text boxes
Decrease line height below 0 (bug; can set but no visual change occurs)
Bug: bounding box is frequently not horizontally and/or vertically center aligned to text
Feature requests
Community driven areas for fonts, frames, stickers, and other content in app
Remove general limitations for certain adjustments (e.g. there should be no minimum or maximum sticker size)
Ability to lock individual elements on the board
Undo/redo (history stack)
Ability to turn off snapping so elements can be more easily nudged into exact positions close to but not exactly on the snap guides
Pictures
More accurate monochrome conversion of pictures to more closely resemble what will be printed
Auto remove background
Thanks!
Issues with app
The fonts don’t work. There’s a glitch in the app. How can thus be fixed?
Worked once!
Will not connect to my Bluetooth. It’s on the newest iOS and still nothing. Waste of money. Doesn’t seem to like iOS 17.1.1. Piece of trash.
Good printer. Bad app.
The printer is great but if you can find something similar with a different app, I would try that first. The app has no names for the fonts. You have to guess by sight which fonts you’ve used before if you want to use them again. The graphics are mediocre. The borders eat into an unnecessary amount of sticker real estate. Stickers that were once there aren’t anymore but the app hasn’t been updated.
Please update the auto-snap function
Please make it so that I can turn off and turn on auto-snap.
Doesn’t work at all
The app doesn’t recognize the label maker and the iPhone doesn’t support the device. Do not buy.
Great Little Machine
I love the label maker, but there are a few things I would change about the app. While the visual is appreciated for the font, it is weird that the fonts don’t have names. If I was asked to print in Times New Roman, I would be left guessing.
Also, now every time I go to print a label, it asks me for a size. I would like to see a place where I could keep this size as a default. I don’t think my printer is capable of the smaller labels, so it is annoying to choose every time.
Finally, if I forget to turn on the printer, I have to close the app to get it to detect the printer. No big deal, but once again it’s annoying.
The printer is great for a quick sticker for my kid.
App doesn’t work
I printed out one text label easily. Subsequent attempts I successful. The PRINT button won’t appear on the app. Also tried downloading a template. Download never completed.
This app is garbage. Won’t connect
Keeps telling me my Bluetooth isn’t on when it is on. Don’t buy any label makers for this garbage app
