It did not work. You set a 30-minute limit on Instagram. Then you hit "Ignore Limit." Then you did it again. And again. By the end of the week you had trained yourself to dismiss the warning without thinking. Sound familiar? MakeMePay Focus is different. There is no warning to dismiss. No limit to extend. No "15 more minutes" button. Just a simple deal: use credits to start a focus session, complete it, and earn bonus credits back. Or don't - and walk away with nothing extra. You can set a grace period of up to 2 minutes for any session as well. Apart from that - no negotiations. No second chances. HOW IT WORKS You start with 5 free credits. No payment required. Choose how long you want to focus - anywhere from 15 minutes to 2 hours. Choose how many credits to commit. Hit start. Now you have one job: stay in the app. Complete the session and earn your credits back as a bonus. Leave early - to check Instagram, to respond to that text, to see what that notification was - and you miss out on the reward. The app does not care about your excuses. Your future self cannot negotiate. When you are tempted to "just quickly check" something, you will remember what you stand to earn. That is when the magic happens. WHY IT WORKS This is not about punishment. It is about commitment. Researchers call it a "commitment device" - a way to bind your present self to decisions your past self made. Ulysses tied himself to the mast so he could not steer toward the Sirens. You are committing credits so you have real motivation to stay focused. When there is something to earn, your brain treats focus differently. Screen Time fails because there is no reward for following through. MakeMePay succeeds because there is. FEATURES Sessions from 15 minutes to 2 hours Credits from $1 to $50 Free Pinky Promise mode - commitment without credits Grace period for accidental switches - life happens Earn bonus credits for every completed session Session history and streak tracking Screen stays awake during sessions - OLED-friendly dark mode saves battery Dark interface - minimal distraction No account needed - data stays on your device No ads - ever WHO THIS IS FOR You have tried the gentle approach. The apps that track your usage and make you feel bad. The limits you set and then ignore. The promises you make to yourself and do not keep. MakeMePay is for people ready to try something that works. Remote workers who want to reclaim billable hours Students who need to study without social media pulling them away Professionals who know focused work is their best work Anyone who has ever said "just five more minutes" and lost an hour People who are done negotiating with themselves THE OPPORTUNITY You already know your phone is a problem. You know those hours do not come back. You know how good it feels to finish deep work. You know your best output happens when distractions are gone. The question is not whether you want to change. The question is whether you are ready to commit to making it happen. 5 free credits. No payment required. Prove to yourself you can do it - and earn them back. PRICING Free to download. Free to keep using if you stay focused. You start with 5 credits. Complete your sessions and earn bonus credits equal to what you used. Chain wins together and your credits last forever. Credit packs from $0.99 for those ready to commit more. Regional pricing varies. Your success earns you rewards. Your focus pays for itself.
