## Malama Description
Malama helps women manage gestational diabetes during pregnancy and continue wellness support postpartum.

Using Malama’s app, you can sync with a Bluetooth glucose meter to automatically pull in blood sugar and glucose levels. You can also manually log your glucose levels if your meter is not yet supported. Malama can integrate health and fitness data from the Health app using HealthKit and display your trends in a useful, easy-to-understand way.

After logging glucose levels, you can add meal tags, photos, carb notes, and other details to share with your care team.

Malama also offers powerful analytics using AI to help identify foods and meals that may trigger high blood glucose levels.

With our postpartum wellness program, Malama supports healthy routines after pregnancy, including ongoing food insights, glucose awareness, and lifestyle support.

We also offer connections to a network of prenatal nutritionists who specialize in gestational diabetes, pregnancy nutrition, and other prenatal conditions.

App doesn’t load or save results. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled several times and no luck. My doctor wants me to use it but I can’t get any of the data to save if it does actually load (which is rare).

Really nice app, super helpful for GD. Couldn’t have made it thru pregnancy without it. Definitely recommend. Allows you to snap pics of your food and it sends reminders that r very helpful. Also provides summaries so you can see how well you’re doing!

There are a lot of bugs. Sometimes the app goes white and won’t let me add my logs. Sometimes it gets stuck on the analyzing screen. Right now I can’t add my post breakfast and it’s super frustrating. I do love the app when it actually works.

Simple interface that’s also visually appealing, the ability to edit and download information for a doctor and the suggested carb count makes this app the best of the best. I hope to see this app grow and have wide spread success as it really does support moms through a difficult experience.

I found this app after my midwives said I needed to track my blood sugar. I had passed the 3 hour test but the baby was measuring large and they wanted me to look more closely at my glucose levels. Tracking with this app was so helpful and gave such great tips!
