Can’t get it to work

Tried multiple cables multiple dongles. Sounds like it used to work based on other reviews. Hopefully it gets fixed, but definitely disappointed I didn’t read the reviews better before spending $5.00.

Doesn’t Work

Recoverysounds on

After trying multiple hubs and an update, I eventually got it to connect once and upload a project. Way easier to just connect to my Mac and pull the files into Ableton. I would have loved to use some of the samples- It errors out trying to save them. Not sure if it’s the connection issue or something else.

Works great on iPad Pro

Using a USB-C to mini USB cable. Exactly what I was looking for!

it’s been 8 months.. fix the bugs!

heysavnac on

this app has the potential to be my favorite app on iOS ever.. but it’s so buggy!! Please release a new update! I’ve been experiencing bugs when using the search function on the Patches section of the app. It just closes the app! I haven’t experienced much else but I’m sure the negative reviews have much more to say. This is the only app that efficiently backs up and plays back tape from the OP-1 like this in such an organized and seamless manner. Please continue to work on it!

Don’t buy, it doesn’t work with newer versions of iOS

Seamama10 on

I think this probably used to work when iOS files worked differently, but now the OP-1 doesn’t show up when you hit connect in the app, it just pulls up the iCloud file browser. So it doesn’t have any usefulness anymore. I am thinking about writing a new version of this app

Lots of cables but it works!

TechieFood on

My set up is an iPad with a camera adapter. The camera adapter is plugged into wall power on one side. The other side is plugged into the op-1 cable. That cable is plugged into a usb extender then into the op-1. Power on the op-1, go to com mode, then attach cables, then switch to disk mode. You can test that it’s working before you buy by checking that the op-1 appears as a drive in the Files app.

Worked once but now crashing constantly

flashpirate on

Assuming you're getting my crash logs from my iPad... I created one project, all good, but now when I load that project it crashes. When I search op1-fun and nothing is return, crash.

Won’t connect to op1

Wallabee man on

I’ve tried a bunch of usb cables to try and get it to connect but the app will not connect to the op1. Waste of money.

Doesn’t work on iPhone

ptrick72 on

Unless someone can tell me how, the op is not recognized like it shows in the tutorial. Is there a way to get a refund for things like this?

Has some bugs but I love it

The main issue I had on my iPhone X was the OP1 not connecting via USB. I realized it wasn’t connecting in my “FILES” app either, so it clearly was not this app’s problem. I tried connecting on iPad Pro with a dongle and that worked fine. I tried importing and was confused as to whether I was supposed to press SELECT or OPEN or DONE but eventually realized I was to SELECT files and then press OPEN. Then I had an issue naming the file properly. I couldn’t complete the entry unless I very lightly swiped down in order to make the keyboard go away revealing the DONE button. But once I got my first tape in the app and could zip through the reel, auditioning my project, I realized this app had potential. I then started importing some old projects and although some tapes were imported blank, mostly it imported correctly and I had a nice working archive of the last few months of OP1 projects I could review. After discovering the OP1 MANAGER folder in my FILES app, I tried dropping a few old tapes in at once and found that they populated in the app flawlessly. I then dropped my entire archive of tapes dating back to late 2016 and I now have my entire OP1 history available to quickly review on my iPad and iPhone. It feels great. I sent an old tape back to my OP1 and it decided to defragment my hard drive before starting properly which took 5 minutes or so. I have a feeling this one is the OP1’s fault though. Overall, great app. Teenage Engineering should’ve made this years ago.
