Edit: This problem has been fixed and comment moderation is a lot better. I’ll leave this review up for archival reasons, but I’m happy the spam has been taken care of. I love being able to keep up and find new manga, and all for free too; but the comments are filled with “free Palestine” spam and Islamophobia spam, which ends up burying actual comments about the relevant manga.

MangaPlus is the gold standard: high quality scans right from the publisher, cheap subscription, huge range of Jump titles from outside of Shonen Jump too. Just astonishingly good. My only major con: not very friendly for use on multiple devices as subscription is tied to apple ID rather than email.

I understand some people are angry that they locked some titles behind a “paywall” but how else is everyone gonna make a living? It’s a very reasonable price considering standard and deluxe and since I enjoy manga a lot I didn’t hesitate to get deluxe. I like how it barely uses any cellular data but it would also be nice if there was an offline feature to download manga so you can read with no internet/data. I know adding a feature like this would increase the amount it is to pay for deluxe, but I see no problem in this for it would be amazing to read manga offline. Overall, I see no major flaws with this app and find it really great that shuesha (forgive me if I spelled shuesha wrong) found such a great way to read manga legally. Thank you for your continued love and work especially on the give back to the creator ad thing.

I get the point of the comments to join people together as a community but it’s being used to discuss things other than the content of the manga and I would like this to change. The reporting feature doesn’t seem to do anything. I like the new support mangaka with ads feature and I hope it stays.

New version no longer compatible with my device😩 just when I was about to finish the one piece.

I’ve been reading on manga plus for a while now and it has been great👍👍👍. But recently with the new update they restricted titles that you could normally read for free for an infinite amount of times but now they restricted it behind a paywall😭. And they increased the price of the subscriptions.

Really enjoying the free service. First 3 chapters of every series are free to read as much as you like. Same goes for the 3 most recent chapters. Many series also allow one free reading of all chapters, but they are locked after one viewing so be careful where you click. Ads are minimal and not intrusive all which I really like.
