Studied two different languages with Mango, and in both courses there is a fair bit devoted to maps; asking for a map, asking for directions on a map, going to the store and buying a map. Like really? Was this pulled out of a 1980’s textbook? Update your content to prepare for conversations people are actually going to be having in this day and age. That said, still better than Duolingo teaching you to say the snake eats the apple.

I love the app, super helpful but one tiny thing it sometimes the listening exercise doesn’t register after you’ve done it. After doing the listening exercise, I move on to the reading but the chapter doesn’t finish, and you have to redo the listening quiz again. Minor problem tho otherwise great app!

Mango Korean lessons are great for practicing and for learning new discussions in Korean.  There are good opportunities to top up vocabulary as well as listening and speaking and reading and replying.  I also find it’s good for refreshing when I haven’t been studying for awhile.  I can jump in and  practice what I was learning and diversify from text book and other audio lessons.  Thank you to Mango for updating and adding to the experience with new vocabulary, dialogue and grammar explanations!

Duolingo teaches you things like milk and suitcase first, here I am easily learning greetings and for example Arabic how to say things differently depending of if they are female or male. Duolingo focuses on getting points and winning but this is actually going to teach you a new language.
