Māori - Ka Piki

It’s great for teaching the words it teaches, but I’m after more breadth of language and it doesn’t seem to offer that.

This app is great, but I would love the option to turn off the time limit when practising. Leave the time limit for the challenges instead. I like to repeat what is being said, and I don’t have enough time to practice that. Feeling rushed is also not conducive to learning. Also, instead of just selecting yes or no, it would be nice to see some other options, such as translating it ourselves both to/from te reo, like flash cards.

I love the design, user interface and lesson structure, it really aids in making the learning process engaging! I agree with some other comments saying the energy limit isn’t the best as it prevents you from learning more, especially when you’re in the flow state or have weaknesses you’re starting to grasp at the time. I would suggest making the default energy limit a little larger, adding the option to watch an ad for a refill or adding in-app purchase to remove or decrease energy limit (the last two also increases app revenue) but I think referring a friend to get an energy boost is great to get more people using the app and learning te Reo Māori! All in all a great app and happy it exists, it has helped with my comprehension a lot!

The concept is great but it’s a bit glitchy and there are many errors. It would be great if it was developed by an actual reo Māori teacher. It’s annoying that you can’t use it more.

Lesson 2, Challenge 2 and Lesson 6, Challenge 2 in beginner course have errors and heaps more but I can’t find them anymore; Can you guys fix them because I can’t get 3 stars on these and it’s annoying

Love this app and would even pay to be able to use it more. Why is this not an option?

Only just started but on level 2 elders the questions are about siblings even the words learnt are about elders.

Good a few glitches and its annoying if you dont have many friends with the app and you need to unlock the energy boost but overall great learning tool edit- for some reason the app is giving me wrong knowledge Ko tahi toku pepi and then in english it said i have three babies so obviously I put wrong but it said it was right? Any way to fix this?

There are far too many review questions where the correct answer is marked as incorrect. Very confusing for new learners who don’t know any better, given some times the same answer to the same question will be given either a right or wrong mark even newbies will work out this issue.

Pretty good and fun but the boosts or whatev are annoying and it makes some challenges not work why do I need to make friend on the app that doesn’t make sense
