Don’t travel without it!
Too expensive now.
I used maps.me regularly around Australia and also Europe. Went to NW North America and ran out of maps. It’s too expensive to update maps, so I’ll go elsewhere.

Still assessing all the features of this App however, it is sure packed with amazing and effective algorithms which, make it easy and fun to use.

Map updates seemed to have improved
Map updates used to fail a lot.Now with the Paid version you don’t download as much. For something that I only use on an occasional basis I’m not interested in forking out $100 a year for this. Maybe AU$20 a year at max like some of the other similar apps. Just use the maps and not all the other stuff. Wayz n Google maps are great for car travel. I only use this when I Hike and again it’s way too expensive for the paid version.

OSM Maps
Maps.me relies on OpenStreet Maps, which treats Crimean Peninsula as Russian territory. No app deserves a star by putting international law and sovereignty of independent country under the question.
