MarkChart - Mermaid Editor

I was looking for a simple Mermaid app that looks good on iOS and macOS. The app works as intended, plays nicely with iCloud, has some helpful resources linked in the preferences, and the exported PDFs look great. Syntax highlighting and a better support for indentation would be nice at some point, but you can use an external editor on the Mac.

The developer truly cares about this app and takes constructive feedback into consideration - turning this into a simple, straight forward and therefore awesome mermaid viewer (and editor). Thank you, 5 stars well earned! :)

I tried a different, cheaper app, and it was useless. This app, with its $9 price tag for pro (so you can export PDFs) is well worth it — a bargain, really, because it saved me so much time. The app is easy to use, with a clean and clear user interface, and plenty of templates and custom capabilities. Recommended.

I use MarkChart erDiagrams for Xcode Schema documentation for my projects. I make markdown files in my project and use the open in external editor to launch MarkChart as the editor. Great tool. Especially when using AI Assistant to generate the erDiagram text from my model files.

The application works well and I have been using is daily, but good luck if you get into a syntax error. Some even minimal help with debug would make this a 5+ star app.

Works fine, except an aspect of the editor. When there is a syntax error it stops at the first one, you fix it, it finds the next. Better to loop through the entire Mermaid code find the errors, propose a solution with an approve button.

From downloading it, it took about 5 minutes to understand the UI, get a sequence diagram rendering, and exported to a PNG. Excellent. (My only little nit is that I wish it watched the underlying markdown file, so that it noticed changes produced when I modify it with another editor.)

png images should have a transparent background

This is quite good... however, I can't seem to change my background color to white. If I use the base theme and set the background color, the setting is ignored. I'd also like the ability to set a zoom factor when exporting images. Other than that, I have absolutely no complaints. It works as advertised, is fast, and seems to be stable. Fixing those two issues will each earn back a star in the review!
